You are correct...I've had the 46 and the 60, but not the 8-8-8....Wish they weren't so darned hard to find!

Still buying samplers and trying everything out!

Burned a Brickhouse Connecticut last night, wasn't too thrilled, good draw but wrapped started flaking after the cut. Guess i can expect that though with he price point.

I also ordered a Leaf sampler by Oscar, cool presentation and the two I've had were good.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this post and learn from the oldheads!! Keep the recommendations coming!

Hmm, Top 5... Think

Always a tough question for me as it depends on how you define “Top”. Nonetheless, my Top 5 is based upon what I want to grab to smoke when I go spur-of-the-moment humi-diving. but here goes:

A. Fuente 8-5-8 Maduro or Sungrown - depends on what day of the week and/or box I pull from
A. Fuente Anejo #46
A. Fuente Casa Cuba Divine Inspiration
A. Fuente Mag R44
Tatuaje Petit Cazadores Reserva

Thanks for the clarification, had no idea. I feel like most people here have quite a bit of experience/stashed gold. Hard coming into the scene with just store bought stuff.

Learning more every day though.

I'm with Ron... it changes a lot...

power ranger is probably at the top...

I'd forgotten about anejo's... those are probably on there...

I saw a lancero at the vherf this last weekend that will probably make my list if my local has one and let's me buy it....

Honey and hand grenades might be in there but it's been a long time...

MF Promesa lancero would earn an honorable mention...

I'm sure there are others...

by sheer volume, I think my favorite is the HUHC. I smoke about two boxes a year of those.

Party Shorts are a close second, about a box a year.

Beyond those there really isn't any cigar ive bought multiple boxes of.

I don't have the attention span to really enjoy a cigar beyond 30 minutes. Hell, there was a HUHC in my ashtray that I set down 5 minutes after lighting last week and wandered off to spray roundup on the driveway cracks.

Since I smoke so many, I will have to have a couple of different answers for you. All will be in no preferential order.

Everyday smokes
Oliva V #4
Oliva MB3
Perdomo 20th anniversary
Aging Room F55 Quatro
AJ Fernandez New World Cameroon

Special once in a while smokes(too pricy for everyday consumption)
Padron 75th
Ashton ESG
Partagas Serie D #4
Norteno
Sin Compromiso

Newer sticks that are incredible smokes and potential to crack the lists. Some of them have technically been out a year or two but they have just arrived in my local
Julius Cesar Corona (new smoke. Think they have released a maduro line. had one yesterday - it's amazing)
OchoCinco
NBK
Mi Querida Triqui Traca

Top 5? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Liga #9 toro
Fuente Anejo - pretty much any style, they're all good
Padron 1926 maduro churchill
Kristoff ligero maduro
San Cristobal churchill

* I could probably add Liga 52's in there as well. They have been a little hit and miss however. DE makes some nice stuff. I remember buying the #9's and T52's when they first came out at $175 a box.

Picking a top 5 is tough, as I like many low cost sticks as well. Aside from standout premiums such as Liga #9's and Fuente Anejo's, there's a multitude of cigars which can be had under $5 that are right up there with $10 - $15 sticks.

You shared quite a few memorable smokes with me, Julian. Still #1 on my list of all time best cigars I ever smoked...

1987 Dunhill Cabinetta. Never would have smoked a cigar like that if it wasn't for you sending me one. I'm sure Andy and Mike also thank you... we passed that around like a doobie. LOL
