I guess we'll find out after she sees roughly $75 (including shipping) come out of the checking account. It's still less than she spends on a mani/pedi each month, so I'm probably in the clear. Hopefully.

All in all, I think I got a few good scores. I wish I had looked up the Chillin' Moose before I bid on them. I thought I remembered hearing they were good and hard to find, but I think I mistook that for the LFD Andalusian Bull....

I'm sure you're absolutely right Corey! I've not have an LFD Bull, but I've heard good things. The $hittin' Moose wasn't "bad", good for the price and a yardgar, but I wouldn't spend money on them again. Better than a Gurkha, for whatever that's worth.

Lol, sounds like me mooching for Gurks! But in all seriousness, Celtic, I enjoyed the Sungrown way more than the Maduro. It had the perfect burn, wonderful flavor and strength. If you get a chance, you should try one. I haven't found anything from the Undercrown line anywhere near me, so I end up buying singles and fivers online.

D.E. Undercrown Sun Grown is a decent mild-medium cigar...a step above a yardgar...an everyday rotation smoke...not enough to consider for special occasions unless as a hand-out to noobs who will be able to manage it but will prolly put it down after 6-7 puffs

Unless my math is off that's just 24 cigars. I wouldn't worry until you get up to 24 boxes. fog

I actually liked all three of them! They varied in strength and flavor, and a couple had some construction issues, but all in all, very decent budget smokes.

I like the blue PDR and the capa sungrown. for the price they are a consistently well rolled and decent burn.

Not a fan of those either altho I like DE unico papa fritas, dirty rat and LP T52. I'm resting some LP#9's as they seemed harsh.

$75 is nothing, wife should be happy you have a hobby that keeps you home.
Mine started smoking with me out of sheer boredom during these times.
Although I've had some big orders I snuck in under the radar and quickly piled into the tupador to sort later. I don't want to show my weakness/obsession. Mrs B is not cheap but loves to hondle so if I say it was "such a deal" and I had coupon/codes she seems happy. Jewish proverb" Never pay retail!"

My cigar budget is her Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Channel budget. So she'd be pissed if I cheaped out and put in an order for $75.
Hobby budget this month was invested in Gun aquisitions though so I could properly defend her shoe closet in the unlikely event of a Biden voting hoard showing up to plunder and pillage.
The Black Aces tactical shotgun is a very nice addition to the family.
Black Aces matter!

24 cigars is a lot? That's 1 less than a box.

In 2006 when I was on my way home from the sandbox, I bought 6 cabs and 3 dress boxes... and they were on my kitchen table when I got home. 375 cigars... over $3,000.

If she bitches about 24, tell her you know a guy that bought 375 in one shipment.

I really need to do that again... back then I had damn near 1000 Havanas in the cabinet.

Smoked 'em, shared 'em... and haven't kept up with the purchasing.

So.....no, she never killed me. It's funny that I posted this picture and thread way back in July, and they posted it a month later. She is very accepting of my hobby/habit, and most times can tell when I want or need a cigar, and will suggest that I go out and have one. Sometimes she'll sit outside with me on the deck, and we'll play backgammon while I smoke. She's certainly a keeper!

She does occasionally remark on how many cigars are in my Tupperdor, and say "You have enough cigars, right? You probably don't NEED to buy any more for a while."

True, I don't NEED to buy more right now, but I WANT to buy more.....LOL!

Holy Śhit.....I would never even mention that. Although, she does have her monthly mani/pedi at $80.00 a pop, and when she gets her quarterly cut and color, it's like $200.00, so I feel like it evens out.

I NEED to turn my wife's closet into a walk-in humidor. I figure we can put her crap ( uh, "things") into boxes and climate controlled coolers. Seems fair to me. She's be unreasonable by WANTING me to bugger off.

Can we nominate this fog for a RotY (Reply of the Year)? Thanks for hitting him with that tasteful, yet appropriate comeback, izon!

He MAY have just been busting my balls (not sure, hard to tell when it written and not spoken), but I'm certainly not poor, and not rich either. I'm comfortable, but try sometimes not to spend too much money, especially with COVID going on and not knowing for sure if I might have needed that money to survive.

Haha, you are all probably right.

Although, she just bought a giant expensive kids playset for the backyard and committed me to three or four nights of staining the thing before it gets assembled, so maybe she was just feeling remorseful.

doncha just love it when the wife happily buys things without consulting you, that requires a ton of your effort ? You have to assemble it too?

forgive her tho, in this case...our grandkids really like to play in the backyard playset we got for them, and a coat of stain and a coat of sealant/polyurethane will extend the life...there are stain/sealant combos in handy spray cans...
