And not CIA...did plenty for them though... as Uncle Bill knew me well from project blackjack aka the Greenbriar days...he nicknamed me "add-A-DaY stEVEnsOn"...he always laughed when I returned a day or 2... later than planned...

Canada is a nice place to visit, they've got stronger beer than the export stuff we get here, but I wouldn't want to live there. I actually haven't been there in years...it's even more progressive than the Peoples Republic of New York.
They are so progressive they have ISOLATION/INTERNMENT Camps planned for next year, kinda like our FEMA camps but even bigger and better, equipped with chemical agents to control the proles if they get out of hand!

you said Buffalo a while ago, but I figured nobody really lives IN Buffalo so I took a shot.
Spent a decade in Seneca Falls (actually 3 semesters) Fall of '71 through Winter of '72/73.
Got friendly with a few folks from Tonawanda or thereabouts.

But not knowing exactly where you live hardly makes me less intelligent.

No, I don't think I'd want to live next door to you Frank, wherever you are. No offense you see.

My next door neighbours on either side of me aren't the progressive types, my neighbour directly across the street from me grew up in Nazi Germany, he might even despise progressivism even more than me since he experienced it too the max.
He's like me, he hates the very idea of the progressive Amerka he has seen grow since he emigrated back in the 50's.
He says the radical Democrats are no better than the Nazis and are leading this country down the same path.

Hitler was more like Lincoln, he would literally attack the opposition press if they didn't print what he wanted them to print and send the miscreants to jail or worse. Even with John Adams and the Federalists or Woodrow Wilson but that luckily it didn't make their crimes against the Constitution an American tradition.
As far as the rest of it, that sounds just like what the progressive left is working towards.

This would be the after the wife retires plan. Until then we will stay here behind enemy lines in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s a great place if you have money.

Frank, now be honest...you didn't read or listen to David Gordon's words did you?

We don't travel in the same circles Frank, so you don't know about libertarian criticisms about Trump or the more nefarious factions of the right that I've seen or been part of. I don't know who those libertarians are that you know or what case they are exactly trying to make about Trump but consolidating power in a uber-nationalist government has been going on in spurts most notably since the birth of the Republican Party and the Civil War. The Republican Party is the original big government party that still exists today, the descendant of the Hamiltonian nationalists and which arose from the ruins of the American Whig Party. Centralization of power is nothing new with Trump or the Republican party as a whole. Of course there have been dissenters to the drive for federal consolidated power within the party all along, those who wanted to actually reform the party to match it's rhetoric of smaller government, fiscal responsibility and defending the Constitution. We would call them the traditional conservatives, the old right, not the phoney ones that pass themselves off as conservatives today, especially the worst of the lot, the neoconservatives. Who could honestly say that the Republican Party has been diligent in achieving their oft cited goals represented by the rhetoric I mentioned? A fool, an insane person maybe?

The Democrats lost their Jeffersonian ways after the second Cleveland administration, with the progressive era when they started adopting Marxist ideas and have gotten progressively worse since then. Finding a Jeffersonian Democrat these days is about as easy as finding Sasquatch. Libertarians arose and evolved from the Jeffersonian tradition and carry on.
I have no love for either party but the left represented by the Democrats are clearly more evil and the greatest threat to liberty right now in the short run.
