Unwinding from another crazy week with a much anticipated Southern Draw Jacob's Ladder from a recent non-elitist hit by Marcus (big thanks Marcus!) and a nice, local hard cider. I've been eyeing this cigar in my Tupperdor for a while now, and decided today was the day to try it out. Definitely lives up to the hype!

This warms my heart to see this thread still going. Had to come on and mention I dug deep and found an Illusione mj12 silver wrapped, gifted to me by my old review brother Jimbud. Not sure if he is still posting, but hope he is doing well. Cigar is smoking excellent; part the cigar, and part knowing it was from a great dude.

Smoke a Aladino Corojo Reserva from Delta's PIB bomb recently. Had a bit of a construction issue, it was slightly underfilled, but I used the "Cuban crush" and it smoke through just fine. Flavors were phenomenal, so I'll likely seek out more, as, minor issue aside, it was a great smoke.

Thanks Al!

sorry about the construction problems, CBD, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy the Aladino despite the issue. They remind me of the last generation of Camacho Corojos, circa 2011-12

Gonna have to revisit soon. I had some uneven burn issues with the one I smoked last December so figured it needed more humi time. IIRC, it was pretty full-bodied and full strength.

I almost didn't mention the construction issue, because I thoroughly enjoyed the cigar, but was curious if construction was possibly an issue others had had. Still think I'll pick some up, and very happy to have been gifted one to try.

Diamon Crown Maximus, not 100% sure the vitolas, but seemed like a corona gorda, from Benja's PIB bomb. Was fantastic! I'd only had a few DC prior, and for whatever reason they were always "meh" for me, but this was a fantastic smoke, and is making me reconsider the line.

Thanks again David!

^ I've had one of each of the little monsters, still have one of each and I do believe I saved the best for last...the Lil' Drac was, arguably, the best of the bunch! The hint of honeysuckle on the retro was intoxicating!!! A unicorn I never would have been able to experience if it weren't for your generosity. Thank you, my friend!!!

Last night, a Ratzilla also from Benja. Was fantastic. I've got a few Dirty Rats on hand, but have only had one of those (and too soon ROTT) but first blush, the Ratzilla was far superior. Will smoke another Dirty Rat later to confirm.

Thanks again for another fine smoke!

Wish I could remember who sent me this. Maybe Steve02? It's a La Boheme Encantador La Scala. It's a nice light tasting smoke that is putting out tons of thick chewy smoke. It's a decent smoke. Not a fan of the box press but, it's enjoyable. There are one or two subtle notes that I notice only because my palate has had a break. I feel like I should be drinking bourbon with this one. I think they'd balance well. Thanks to whomever;-p Kinda stopped keeping track after awhile....I've got a humidor full of nothing but random 5ers of things people suggested I try. I figure with my clean palate now would be the time to dive back in and see if there is a hidden gem or two waiting for it.me. Fell into the rut of smoking only what I know I like and ignoring a lot of the other stuff. We all go through this phase at one point or another.

So, if you're out there and you read this speak up if you sent this to me so I can personally say thank you.

...Delta. Al was my Secret Santa in 2015 and he sent a gaggle of cigars and swag. He was also pretty stealth but managed to figure out who it was from a couple of cryptic clues. Anyway, amongst the 20 cigars, he sent a couple Litto Gomez Small Batch SB-VIs and I *finally* sparked one up last night. Really nice long (...over 2-1/2 hours!...) smoke that I thoroughly enjoyed while watching postgame interviews after Green Bay's close win over Jacksonville.

Thanks again Santa! ThumpUp

Oh I've smoked quite a few of those and loved them. I'm just ungrateful and lazy. Can't post every time I smoke one and like it. Can't have you feeling to good about yourself. Otherwise you won't know how to act right around me.

You are more than welcome! Warms my heart to know it was/is enjoyed. Last night was our first freeze of the season. Brought in the potted plants and covered the "firecracker bush" that I usually let die every year. It always comes back but stays small.
