Last night when I got home from work there was a fedex package on the porch. A quick look at the package indicated it was from Tobacalera Perdomo. Funny, I don't remember ordering anything, or signing up for a promotion.

When I opened it up I saw this beautiful Perdomo 20th Anniversary Guayabera and a hand written note from Nick Perdomo. There is a story behind this but I'd rather just leave this thread at thank you. Thank you very much to Nick and whomever pointed him in my direction. I really appreciate it, and I love the shirt and the kind words.

I've always been a big fan of the Lot 23s, Edicion De Silvios, and Estate Seleccion Vintage lines. I've smoked more Lot 23s than I can count. As with every brand of cigars there are some that match my palate more than others. That is why they make a variety of shapes, sizes and blends.

I don't know if he remembers, but Nick and I had a breif email (or PM) exchange a year or two ago regarding his cigar lines. After that brief exchange with Nick I walked away with a great deal of respect for him, his products, and his company. He takes pride in every cigar. What drove that home to me is the fact that he puts not only his name, but his family's name on them.

This was an awesome albeit undeserved surprise. Thanks again.

Sure... deny that you sent those pictures. But you and I know the truth... by the time I zoomed in far enough to figure out what I was seeing, I was too traumatized to ever be the same.

I have always appreciated the plantation and company owners who take the time to get to know their clients. Senior Nick has invited me to visit the plantation in Nicaragua and I will be sure to take copious pictures. We have them scheduled for the 2nd day once we have passed through the Panama Canal. I hope to pick up a few boxes while I am there for the crew. I am really hoping I will be able to work out lunch or dinner with senior Nick, there is nothing more special than a visit with a true gentleman.

Congratulations on the box.Applause
