I wonder what will come of it and working. It's legal recreational here but still can't do it with work. Wondering what it would be like if it was federally legal.

Considering the fact that a number of states have effectively nullified unconstitutional federal law by passing medical and/or recreational marijuana laws, the writing was on the wall that the feds were losing their authoritarian grip.
Thomas Jefferson would be pleased.

though you want all or nothing, I go issue by issue and totally agree with Libertarians on weed, possibly many other drugs and stuff. It's what I mean when I say I'm pragmatic in a line item sense.

I don't even smoke or take anything recreationally anymore, not to say I would never again.
Correction, smoked some dope a couple times in recent years.

I skipped your link, just for full disclosure.

Try being principled Frank. Being pragmatic is an excuse for not being principled.
Jefferson and Madison's Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions were called the Principles of '98, state interposition a.k.a. nullification has been the rightful remedy for stopping unconstitutional federal laws, to render them null and void.
If the 3 branches of the federal government are the final arbiters of their their own powers, and the parties to the constitutional compact (the states) have no say in judging those powers then that's where federal tyranny grows.
It doesn't matter if it's weed, guns or anything else.

I have my history, I have evolved. The passion for philosophies that never take hold proved to be a way to get none of what I thought would be good for the world.

I believe I am a very principled human, don't need your stamp of approval that is more about your intolerance for those who just can't see what is good for them according to RayR.

I don't think you're all wrong, far from it. But you think everyone else is all wrong, so following your lead would be fruitless and accomplish none of what you want.

I say this with internal peace so spare the TDS style labeling. You show no plan, just philosophy. Either advocate for and get involved in a revolution (peaceful is an option) as I attempted or stop finger pointing. At least I and others of like mind accomplished changes, even at the expense of being identified as a subversive for a couple of years.

What mountains have you moved that I may have heard about?

Geez Frank, I'm sorry if by stating real historical American principles which most people have never heard of from gubment skool, principles that have been used to head off tyrannical unconstitutional government policies, that bothers you? It's not just some philosophy, it's principles in action. That's what moves mountains. So libertarians rejoice when state governments get a backbone and push back against unconstitutional federal laws or when sheriffs refuse to enforce unconstitutional federal or state mandates and laws. That is the plan, that is the peaceful revolution in action.
What's the alternative pragmatic way? Obeying blindly whatever immoral and unconstitutional dictates come down the pike from a President, a legislature, a governor or a mayor. Believing some court of politically connected lawyers are the final arbiter of what is right and constitutional, case closed? What has that accomplished?
