FINALLY made it over to Bandon again (central Oregon coastal town) and made my first visit to the tasting room (which can’t do tasting due to the Chinese bat flu aids) but our liquor stores here don’t carry much of their stuff. Stillwagon Distillery. I was tempted by the cask strength gold rum as that isn’t available here but I instead got two small runs they only have there 1) The Devil's Own Feijoa Rum and 2) Whiskey Run Single Malt Whiskey a lightly peated single malt whiskey.

You don't have a "What Drink are you Drinking" thread, so I guess this thread will do...

At the risk of sounding PC unpopular, I'm having a Caucasian.

I had two 1.75ml bottles of Skyy Vodka in my cupboard, one partially empty and one completely full.

The partially empty one had less than half a shot left and the completely full bottle was completely empty...

I don't remember how the hell that happened.

I had to quick substitute Skyy Vodka for Bacardi Light Rum...

Which is why I'm here......

In short, the last minute substitution was acceptable.

That's why I have a space between each line.. I don't want my sentences to run into each other.

Several I want to try, but with 4 open bottles of rum, 4 open bottles of tequila, and a cognac, I should probably finish some of these before acquiring more

Tried some of the Freijoa rum from Stillwagon Distillery the other night, it’s like a unsweetened fig taste with a lightly sweetened maple syrup before it opens up into a more normal rum profile. The gal at the tasting room mentioned it pairs very well with pineapple.

So tonight I mixed some with Jarritos pineapple soda, damn good!

recently...Diplomatico Planas
white/clear rum, which I normally do not enjoy. But I like this 47% ABV sipper.
Label speaks of coconut and banana flavors with a chocolate finish, but all I got was a nice chocolate nuance all the way from start to finish and I may be better off for it.

Centenario 20 Anos Fundacion
Costa Rica

along the lines of the 23 solera by Zacapa, uses rums aged from 6 to 20 years.
A sweeter sipper, lots of vanilla with some pleasant warmth rather than heat coating the mouth and tongue on the finish.
