50% by April at 1 day a week. Nothing like millions of Democratic morons being created as we speak.

Didn't the CDC say to open up schools and there was no threat by opening schools?

The CDC sure does say a lot of things lately.

Fauci backs CDC's school reopening plan: 'We need to try and get the children back to school'
“It's less likely for a child to get infected in the school setting than if they were just in the community,” Fauci said.

My kids started school back in class last fall... I didn’t realize that some weren’t in session yet.

Sports here are playing against other schools without masks, and my girls had a fairly complete fall travel season along with middle school team soccer...

Why are kids not back in class?

Don't know... my daughter was on virtual for about a month, but she hated it. She's been back in class for a while now though, ever since they opened back up for in person.

California schools are still closed. No real sign of opening. Might as well convert them to homeless housing and fire 3/4 of the teachers and do it all by Zoom forever.

California - have versus have not by Democrat design.

My niece's high school was closed until this fall. It has been open since and parents have the option to send to school or watch the classes on like Zoom and must be present online.

She did GEAT last spring and summer from home. She passed the college credit tests for her AP classes. She tried to go back his fall, but there was a bad outbreak and she decided she woulda rather do the home school thing, which is working out GREAT for her again. 4.0++ and is in like four AP classes. Different strokes for different folks.

My son has no choice. He is in grad school at FSU and all his campus classes and projects were cancelled. His only choice was online. He'll probably save almost $25k on rent and food alone.

Biden thinks they can indoctrinate new Demo-Nazi's in only one day a week?
They must have some new advanced brain-washing techniques or...maybe drugs! Anxious

That's a huge break on the expenditures. Good to see people catching some breaks in covid season.

I'll second that BRAVO. Sadly this what Progressivism has always sought by having government involved in education..
On the bright side there has been a great increase in withdrawals from public schools since the draconian COVID lockdowns as some wiser parents have chosen home schooling as a permanent solution.to the state and its minions ruining their children.

I like how he says home schooling is wiser. Most the dumb sh*ts doing it can't even understand common core and then there's people are telling them they are qualified to educate a human?

Is that Common Core Or "Communist Core" Benny? I would hope a parent would not be qualified to educate a human in this manner, it is just another form of top-down centralized control which Progressives find so appealing.

Dr. Thomas Sowell summarized the brainwashing process in a 1993 article titled "Indoctrinating the Children":

"The techniques of brainwashing developed in totalitarian countries are routinely used in psychological conditioning programs imposed on American school children. These include emotional shock and desensitization, psychological isolation from sources of support, stripping away defences, manipulative cross-examination of the individual's underlying moral values, and inducing acceptance of alternative values by psychological rather than rational means."

I knew common core would trigger you.

The logic and reasoning behind why makes sense to me. You can listen to your brain washers, but I actually understand the why.

No argument is going to convince you though... so back to the stone age with you!

Speaking of government school Communism...

A Philadelphia Elementary School Recently Forced Fifth-Grade Students to Celebrate “Black Communism” and Simulate a Black Power Rally in Honor of Political Radical Angela Davis

by Charles Burris

Quote:
A Philadelphia elementary school recently forced fifth-grade students to celebrate “black communism” and simulate a Black Power rally in honor of political radical Angela Davis.

According to whistleblower documents and a source within the school, a fifth-grade teacher at the inner-city William D. Kelley School designed a social studies curriculum to celebrate Davis, praising the “black communist” for her fight against “injustice and inequality.” As part of the lesson, the teacher asked students to “describe Davis’ early life,” reflect on her vision of social change, and “define communist”—presumably in favorable terms.

At the conclusion of the unit, the teacher led the ten- and eleven-year-old students into the school auditorium to “simulate” a Black Power rally to “free Angela Davis” from prison, where she had once been held while awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping, and murder. The students marched on the stage, holding signs that read “Black Power,” “Jail Trump,” “Free Angela,” and “Black Power Matters.” They chanted about Africa and ancestral power, then shouted “Free Angela! Free Angela!” as they stood at the front of the stage.

Well, you guys can post complaint opinion pieces all you want... The techniques are not difficult to understand.

It's just one of those things to trigger you and make you stomp your feet and pout about... blame it on the commie lefties.

I'm not sure what qualifies it as a lefty thing, I know it's just one of those weird things where a dividing line has been arbitrarily chosen where one side is pointing their fingers and stomping and pouting for no real reason other than the lefties came up with it so it must be bad.

And the other side is just shaking their head.

Seriously... the curriculum isn't hard to understand.

If trying to trigger someone was what you wanted...you didn't get it with me.

If you need 35 steps to get to 2 + 2 = 4...who is the idiot?

The article I posted was an op ed from what I would regard Top 10 educational places of learning even despite their obvious political leanings.

So, yeah...I get the whole isn't hard to understand. I was really wondering if you were going to take the pro Common Core position. Some people really need education dumbed down for them to actually "get it".

Kids are better off without school. I thought closing public school was the best side effect that covid had to offer.

They are taught nothing but propaganda and useless information that will do nothing for them in the future.

If you want your kids to get a decent education, home school or dig deep for private.

If you want your kids to be smart, teach them art, music, and literature. A little philosophy won't hurt either.

I guess public pedagogy ain't what it used to be. There is something fundamentally un-American about a one size its all education which is why the Commies are all for it.
