What's up? Pitbulls are ferocious beasts....

Just kidding. It was an Australian Shepherd that bit a hole in my t-shirt, not a pitbull... and what did my dog do? Nothing.

Dude gave me $20 for my ripped T-shirt, though.

Australian shepherds should be banned, and all put down. They're ferocious! Sarcasm

Breed em with a black lab and you get most of that ferocity taken care of... redirects that intensity towards Frisbee catching...

Pitbulls aren't ferocious per se. But when one bad one crosses the line, there is no turning back.

Good security alarm, if train right, nobody dies from their bite. Just a headache, but they are still just ankle biters. Keep critters out of the yard too.

Is that your professional opinion? Because I can cite a number of actual dog trainers who disagree with that opinion. Zak George, Brandon McMillan, Cesar Millan...

Broadkill and Henelopen🏖️

I've been to Cape Henlopen State Park, in Lewes, Delaware. Is that the beach you are talking about? We hiked/walked all the way out to the point where the Ocean meets the Delaware Bay. Got some great photos. Nice place.

We also liked Assateague Island, just south of Henlopen, near Ocean City, Maryland. The wild horses are pretty cool, but keep your distance. They really are wild.

Hope you are doing ok Smoothie.

Half hour to a really nice beach for us and less than than an hour to the bridges for Cape Cod.

Nice beaches North Shore MA too but no need to fight through Boston.

Some great stuff a little over an hour in Maine but you need to go on the one day a year the water is warm!

Rhode Island beaches like in Newport are about an hour away too, and very nice.

That's why you are using our Mountain Hut as a hedge against global warming.

When the ocean levels rise, you'll still be close to the beach.

Trying to figure out what I wanna cook this week. Still have a $25 gift certificate for "turkey or ham and fruits and veggies" got from work for Christmas that expires at the end of the month so I'm gonna use that but I'm not a huge fan of turkey or ham. Gonna get one or the other tho and figure out something to do with it.

I've got a big tub of dehydrated red chili peppers. Not sure what they are for sure, but they have good heat and flavor. My parents planted them and didn't pick em and they dehydrated on the plant. I picked them early December. Gonna try to grind them into powder.

Got a bunch of potatoes that started to sprout, so gonna find something to do with them.

Got a chicken I put in the garage fridge from the freezer a week ago and it's still half frozen. It's in a pot of water finishing thawing now. That'll get smoked, and I think I'll use the carcass to make stock to cook rice and beans. Skipping the brining n rubbing, this meat's gonna get shredded/chopped for soups/chili/tacos.

Upper 40's here. Took the truck for an oil change and they said $128.00 because it's a "heavy truck"

Screw that.

Onwards to Autozone. Didn't want to roll around in the slush on the driveway, but looks like that's what I gotta do. $40 DIY vs $130 easy decision. I figured it'd be about $70 and thought $30 to not deal with it wasn't terrible but an extra $90 is ridiculous.

Went to the grocery store and filled my cart with chit. Got to the checkout and they wouldn't take the gift certificate without a turkey or a ham. Says turkey or ham and fresh fruits and veggies. Usually I use it for a couple pounds of shrimp and some other stuff. Been told by multiple cashiers it's processed as a gift card so it doesn't matter. This one wouldn't budge. So I went and grabbed a $7 turkey. She took $7 off the bill. I argued but she was persistent so I told her to keep the damn turkey.

Ground up the chili peppers. Still sneezing and coughing. But the powder tastes great.

Wife and her mom are replacing the carpet pad in the dining room with carpet squares in a pattern. No way that's gonna last long.

Frying up some meats to mix with stuff to make dirty rice stuffed bell peppers. Haven't done that before, so giving that a shot.

Wife already said she don't like it.

We got up to 57 today.

Apparently there was grass and dirt under all that white stuff.

Amazing.
