So lately I’ve discovered most of the cigars I’ve really enjoyed, have had an Ecuadorian wrapper. Anyone else prefer this wrapper? Or any good cigars with an Ecuadorian wrapper come to mind ?

I really like the oliva v melanio. It’s probably my favorite.

The regular v is also great. Pretty confident both have Ecuador wrappers. I’m not too sharp on different wrappers and stuff. Those two cigars are great though

over the past couple years, Sobremesa, Black Works Studio NBK, HR 1845, Tatuaje Verocu and Tatuaje Cojonu 2012 Habano have been my fave cigars wrapped with Ecuador Habano leaves...I like most cigars that use that leaf as a wrapper...

a good bang for the buck was the Espinosa Comfortably Numb, as is the Espinosa Habano and the AJ Fernandez Last Call

For S&G I looked up all the cigars I have / had that use(d) tobacco from Ecuador and came up with the following variations (...as described by the manufacturers and / or listed by reviewers...):

Connecticut
Connecticut Shade
Desflorada
El Bajo Sungrown
Habano
Habano #1 Rosado
Habano Grade R13E
Habano Ligero
Habano Oscuro
Habano Rosado
Habano Rosado Claro
Habano Rosado Oscuro
Habano Sungrown
Havana
HVA Habano
Hybrid 151
Rosado Sungrown
Sancti Spiritus
Sumatra
Sungrown

Probably more out there too.

The tat cojonu 2012 is a very good cigar. I didn’t even realize that it was an Ecuador wrapper.

it is made with three different wrapper leaves...

the one with the white label is Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, the Capa Especial

the one with the black label and gold letters is the Connecticut Broadleaf maduro, the Reserva

these were the first releases in 2012

the last one released, about a year later: has an Ecuador Habano wrapper, and is the one with the gold label and black letters
