Al lemme tell ya, I questioned a county sheriff at trial and caught him up in a blatant lie. Judge wanted to “talk to him in his chambers”.

No apology for him trying to blame me for a crime I didn’t commit.

No charges for lying under oath.

I don’t blindly believe cops.

There is definitely a thin blue line, and I’m not a fan of the escalation of force we have.

What were you falsely charged with and how did it even get to trial?

I committed what I was charged with! My step brother was driving and they were trying to nail both of us.....I actually got FU**** just to be able to pay restitution. My case the DA didn’t want to touch when he read what happened at my brothers trial (juvenile) but the only was told I could pay restitution which I insisted upon was pleading no contest. The DA was cool about it the judge not so much.

FYI I broke a padlock.

The sheriff and the county parks and rec dude said my brother had rammed the gate. My brother had a plastic bumper. They didn’t have photos. I had to walk the sheriff deputy through their own evidence again, I dragged it out painfully slow without calling him a liar till the judge said “enough”.

Anyhow, this morning's testimony sucked (boring). Defense just tried to prove Chauvin could have died that very day or soon thereafter, anyways, in the position he was in on the ground (without force), partially because of the carbon monoxide exhaust from the police vehicle and/or because of heart problems.

It seemed like a summary and not a totality of the evidence.

Good thing the verdict won't be based on evidence or arguments...

They could have wrapped this trial up in one day easily.

I think that the defense went on way to long. The Black prosecutor was the best and gave a great rebuttal argument.

The judge was excellent the whole way through.

Anyone notice Chauvin's face when he took his mask off? He has a permanent frown that is pretty significant. That's just the way he was built, but wearing a mask negated that for him.

bad cops rarely get convicted...that's why there are so many bad cops...and why there are riots after decisions like the Rodney King Quartet's acquittal...

but the majority of cops I've known and worked with are good peeps...

We still need to de-fund the police and eliminate them. Only way to be sure.

Absolutely! That is how the politicians do it when they call for de-funding. Armed guards, walls, and gates.

I’m hoping the jury deliberations last into Thursday. I get my second dose of Covid vaccine and microchip on Wednesday and don’t need that screwed up by an outbreak of peaceful riots.

I hope it’s not in a peasant filled area, remember not even identifying as an “ally” will keep you safe. Probably best to wear a BLM hat and an Pink Floyd teeshirt to be sure.

It’s in a black/Hispanic area that got a ton of vaccine for equity purposes. Now there is a verdict. Oh boy. I was wanting to go to a Mexican restaurant afterwards for some quesoburria.

CBS News Starts the Process of Doxxing Chauvin Trial Jurors

The trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer accused of killing George Floyd, is entering its final moments. The jury will begin deliberating soon as the defense has finished its closing arguments. Whether they are able to return a verdict at all is a question we will eventually have an answer to.

In all of this, one thing is supposed to be clear. The jurors are supposed to be able to do their duty without pressure and threat. Yet, CBS News has already begun the process of doxxing them, and it’s hard to overstate how dangerous this is.

There is nothing more irrelevant in this trial in regards to public knowledge than the “makeup” of the 14 jurors. The process of vetting and weeding out jurors has already been completed with input from both the prosecution, defense, and the judge. At this point, where a juror lives is not information anyone needs to know. But CBS News knows exactly what they are doing here.

Further, this sure seems like a shot across the bow for the jurors to come up with the “right” verdict or face reprisal from the mob, aided and abetted by a news media ready to provide them with personal information. Why are news outlets even hinting at identifying these people when there’s no journalistic value in it whatsoever? I think we know why.

The best case here is that the jurors never see this and never feel intimidated, but the mob stands ready regardless. The worst case is that the jurors do catch wind of CBS News hinting that they have their personal information and their decision is influenced by it. Finding Chauvin guilty of manslaughter might even be the proper ruling, but now, with what CBS News has done and seems to be pushing for, any ruling will have doubt cast on it.

The judge should step in and deliver a reprimand immediately, including barring CBS News from reporting from or in the courthouse. I’m not sure he will, though.

Between Waters inciting violence, President Slingblade praying for the correct verdict we have the media doing their worst to get that guilty verdict.

So much for justice in America today.
