Wait!?! What if we unboxpressed a boxpressed cigar to it's original shape? Would that make it the same but different? Asking for a friend.

"Taste is King..."

So is appearance, construction, reliability and consistency. As well as bang for the buck, e.g., the weight of the cigar, i.e., how much tobacco you're getting for your dollar.
This isn't a difficult concept. Weight isn't the only thing to consider, but it's something.
A lightweight stick might burn in an hour, whereas something more substantial of the same length and ring gauge might last twice as long.
Anyway, here are some closely guarded secrets. Don't tell anyone, as this is azzhat heresy:

Man O' War Virtue Robusto, 5 x 50: 11 grams
Oliva Saison Natural Robusto, 5 x 50: 13 grams
La Gloria Cubana Wavell (Robusto), 5 x 50: 14 grams
La Gloria Cubana Serie R No. 4 Robusto, 4.9 x 52: 17 grams

NO, it isn't a difficult concept. It's a fuggin stupid one.

Does the cigar taste good to you and burn long enough for you to enjoy it? That's all that matters.

If you are concerned about one brand having an extra gram of tobacco versus another, you have found the wrong hobby. These are natural products and weight will vary.

"What if we unboxpressed a boxpressed cigar"

The original circumference (or perimeter) would remain the same regardless. A 50-gauge diameter subsequently box pressed into a rectangle would not become a 60-gauge diameter if you somehow managed to un-box press it. But you know that. Azzhat.

You smoke ***** cigars...

You guys remember that zombiephile named willyv who lived in a vacant field in a tent next to his wife's house and he tried to rate cigars with a unit of measurement called volumetric smoke units? I found his inbred cousin...

What % humidity of each?

What was the sample size and are these differences statically significant?

Did you mute yourself? That would literally be the only way for you to see 6 consecutive blank comments at this point in the thread...

At least we got him off the sidelines. Dude has been mostly mute for the past 5 and a half years but broke his silence to enlighten us about a critical factor that the cigar factories don't want us to know... cigar weight.

The main reason I got into cigars was to pick out a stogie and then sit outside with an adult beverage to relax for a couple of hours. I never, for a second, wondered if the weight or grams per inch of the cigar was a better value (i.e., Return on Investment) than the last cigar I smoked. All I cared about was whether I enjoyed the smoke and if I would smoke it again. I don’t overthink things I have very little control over. Sure, I could stop buying an overpriced cigar but I certainly didn’t fret about it’s shortcomings and how the manufacturer was “cheating” me. I don’t sweat the small stuff ‘cause in the end, it’s all small stuff.

OK, now that we've got that settled,
Let's go into how each cigar has it's own unique and distinct personality.

So who wants to start us off???

You don't have to ask.

Puff deeply and exhale slowly.......................
The cigar will inform you if you allow it Grasshopper...

Any non-Azz-hats have anything intelligent to add to this discussion?

Why would any of us want to speak intelligently to you? You're a moron.

Colossal waste of time.
