Yoir cigars will be fine once you fix the problem and give them some time to bounce back. Honestly it sounds like ypir cigars are over humidified. Try this, take 3 cigars you might want to smoke, take them out of the humidifier, put them in an old wooden cigar box on the counter and close the lid. No humidifiers, just them. Next day, take one and smoke it. Close the lid. Day two smoke the second cigar from that box. Day 3, repeat. Note any diffetences. You might be surprised.
Small humidors are a pain in the ass and prone to over himidification. Airflow is rsstricted, the humidity bounces up and down by a large margin any time a lid is opened, 1-2 cigars added or removed can throw it out of whack for a day (more/less. Your shpo has big recah-in humidors or walk ins, that's part of their advantage.
The "black ice" beads are just PG gel. Hymie is talking about real humidity regulatong solid beads. I have both HF and HCM. They both work well. Michael, the owner of HCM is a personal friend whom I've smoked cigars with many times, I'm gonna buy his stuff even if it costs a bit more. I think it was a better product before he bought the company, that just sealed the deal.
Lettuce is awesome and don't fear the rabbit. You might find that you enjoy the excitement.
