Nobody on the world stage respects this wannbe dictator surrounded by National Guardsmen and barbwire in our nation's capitol.

Biden Targets Russian Sovereign Debt, Expels 10 Diplomats, In Sweeping Sanctions Action

Russia was quick to threaten that swift retaliation is coming, with the tit-for-tat ramping up once again as tensions over Ukraine are on a knife's edge. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova countered that "such aggressive behavior will undoubtedly trigger a resolute retaliation."

She announced that the ministry has now summoned the US ambassador to Moscow for a "hard conversation" but didn't reveal details of what form the retaliation will take.

"Washington should realize that it will have to pay a price for the degradation of the bilateral ties,” Zakharova said, asserting that "the responsibility for that will fully lie with the United States."

Meanwhile that hoped-for face-to-face summit Biden proposed for he and "killer" Putin this week to be held "in a third country in the coming months" is definitely off...

As expected the White House and Treasury's actions against Russia today are sweeping and have some serious teeth, with the US expelling ten of its diplomatic personnel from the Russian Embassy in Washington, which is said to include intelligence officials.

Further, the US will ban American banks from buying new Russian sovereign debt starting June 14. The White House fact sheet detailing the Biden executive order's multi-layered action details:

Treasury issued a directive that prohibits U.S. financial institutions from participation in the primary market for ruble or non-ruble denominated bonds issued after June 14, 2021 by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the National Wealth Fund of the Russian Federation, or the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation; and lending ruble or non-ruble denominated funds to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the National Wealth Fund of the Russian Federation, or the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

The directive further notes the "authority for the U.S. government to expand sovereign debt sanctions on Russia as appropriate." The measures sparked a sell-off in Russian assets, with the rouble immediately dropping as much as 2.2% in early trading, coming to settle at 1.5% down to trade at 76.89 hours later.

As we previewed earlier, Treasury further designated six Russian technology companies related to the SolarWinds hack, and sanctioned 32 entities and individuals for 'interference' efforts in the 2020 presidential election.

And then there's the infamous "Afghan bounties" allegations...

The Administration is responding to the reports that Russia encouraged Taliban attacks against U.S. and coalition personnel in Afghanistan based on the best assessments from the Intelligence Community (IC). Given the sensitivity of this matter, which involves the safety and well-being of our forces, it is being handled through diplomatic, military and intelligence channels. The safety and well-being of U.S. military personnel, and that of our allies and partners, is an absolute priority of the United States.

And what's more, the US is now laying definitive blame on Russian intelligence for the SolarWinds hack - yet still no reference to particular 'smoking gun' evidence...

Today the United States is formally naming the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), also known as APT 29, Cozy Bear, and The Dukes, as the perpetrator of the broad-scope cyber espionage campaign that exploited the SolarWinds Orion platform and other information technology infrastructures. The U.S. Intelligence Community has high confidence in its assessment of attribution to the SVR.

The SVR’s compromise of the SolarWinds software supply chain gave it the ability to spy on or potentially disrupt more than 16,000 computer systems worldwide. The scope of this compromise is a national security and public safety concern. Moreover, it places an undue burden on the mostly private sector victims who must bear the unusually high cost of mitigating this incident.

Sources tell Reuters the Biden administration is preparing to announce a series of sanctions against Russia as soon as Thursday for election interference and the alleged SolarWinds hack. This is also happening as Russia amasses tens of thousands of troops near the Ukrainian border and convoys of tanks as a flare-up in tensions in eastern Ukraine could be imminent.

Several Russian officials are expected to face expulsion from the US in a new round of sanctions. There are about 30 entities also expected to face sanctions for election interference and the alleged SolarWinds hack. As many as ten Russian could be expelled, the sources continued.

(entering this here: http://www.cigarbid.com/...ENERGY-DEPT-and-N-N-S-A-

This is all happening as storm clouds gather over Europe's eastern flank.

On Sunday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told NBC's "Meet the Press" that Russia faces "consequences" if at any point it acts "aggressively" towards Ukraine:

"I have to tell you I have real concerns about Russia's actions on the borders of Ukraine," Blinken warned. "That's why we're in very close contact, in close coordination, with our allies and partners in Europe. All of us share that concern."

"President Biden's been very clear about this. If Russia acts recklessly, or aggressively, there will be costs, there will be consequences," the secretary of state said further.

But when pressed on potential military options on the table, he responded, "I'm not going to get into hypotheticals."

The Biden administration appears to be plotting their revenge against Moscow for the alleged SolarWinds hack and election interference.

We would suspect if the US officially announces the sanctions tomorrow - a tit-for-tat sanction war would ensue, further straining relations between Washington and Moscow while the threat of war on the eastern Ukraine border rises.

Biden can't even speak in complete sentences much less understand reckless or aggressive "consequences"...said the guy that can't even stop his dogs from crapping on the carpet or biting Secret Service agents!!!!

This administration is a complete $hitshow!

Welcome to the loopy-left era of Joe Biden

Sky News host Chris Kenny says "welcome to the loopy-left era of Joe Biden, where climate policy is about existential alarmism" after the US had a Mexican-American teenager address world leaders during an online climate summit.

"Last night we saw yet another climate summit. Another global gathering of world leaders parading their virtue, making grand promises, playing to the green left media zeitgeist, and never being accountable for any of their promises or actions," he said.

"And yet while the weather bureau can't forecast 24 hours ahead, and bureaucrats can't run a Zoom chat, these world leaders and the climate activists they pander to, tell us they do know what will happen to the climate decades from now, and even better, they know how to control it.

Even while they agree that the country that has by far the largest carbon footprint, China, can be allowed to continue to dramatically increase its emissions.

Mr Kenny applauded Prime Minister Scott Morrison for being "a tower of strength and common sense in this forum", who pushed back against grandstanding, "pointing out our good record - we've cut emissions by 19 per cent" - and refusing to make ever grander promises "just to keep the green left and teenage activists happy".

"You won't make progress on any of that listening to emotional, anti-capitalist, anti-west rants from teenagers. That's just a pathetic attempt to appeal to hysterical media and frightened voters," he said.

You'll never guess which world leader was the only one wearing his mask on this Zoom chat. The same guy that's inoculated and sitting in his office by himself! He didn't even bother to have an American flag in the background either. At least Putin had a flag and you could see his face!

"“China welcomes the US return to the Paris agreement, and expects the US side to uphold the agreement, shoulder its due responsibilities and make due contributions.”

And from China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying:

“[The U.S.] return [to the Paris Agreement] is by no means a glorious comeback but rather a truant getting back to class,” Hua said of the United States. She pressed the United States to “offer how it will make up for the lost four years”, including payments to the UN-backed Green Climate Fund, which provides support to developing countries worst hit by climate change.

Which brings us to President Biden’s Climate Summit today. You may know that the previous “commitment” made by President Obama under the Paris Climate Agreement was that the U.S. would reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 26 to 28% from the level of 2005, and do so by 2025. (I put the word “commitment” in quotes because the Paris Agreement was never submitted to the Senate for ratification as a Treaty, and therefore was never binding on the United States.). Anyway, Biden today, with absolutely nothing in hand from China after Kerry’s failed mission last week, nevertheless proceeded essentially to double the U.S. promise to cut emissions. From the New York Times today:

In a show of renewed resolve after four years of the Trump administration’s unvarnished climate denial, Mr. Biden formally pledged that the United States would cut its emissions at least in half from 2005 levels by 2030.

And how about handing out some tens or hundreds of billions of the infinite free U.S. taxpayer cash to every third world kleptocrat?

[The Biden] administration also announced it intends to double by 2024 the amount of money it offers to help developing countries, compared with what the United States spent annually in the second half of the Obama administration.

Estimates are that U.S. annual greenhouse gas emissions are currently running about 15% below the 2005 level, with the reduction almost entire due to the fracking revolution — and having next-to-nothing to do with increasing amounts of wind and solar energy, which are insignificant. But that leaves about 35% to go from the 2005 level to get to Biden’s newly-announced goal. You can be sure that Biden himself has absolutely no idea how this might be accomplished. And indeed it will not be accomplished. However, Biden promises to do enormous damage to the U.S. economy in the futile effort.

Xi, meanwhile, is rubbing his hands with glee at the stupidity of the U.S. leaders. He pockets each successive U.S. promise to destroy its own economy, and then responds with empty words and no specific commitments at all from his own side. Xi actually showed up at Biden’s summit today. Here is what he had to say, as quoted in the New York Times:

President Xi Jinping of China said his country would “strictly limit increasing coal consumption” in the next five years and phase it down in the following five years. . . . Mr. Xi repeated his pledge from last year to draw down carbon emissions to net zero by 2060. And, in a pointed reminder to his host, President Biden, he said that the industrialized countries of the West had a historic responsibility to act faster to reduce emissions.

I love that part about “strictly limit[ing]” coal consumption. With 250 GW of new coal power plants in development, what does that even mean? I guess that building more new coal plants than the U.S. even has is now a “strict limit.” China’s emissions, already far the largest in the world, will continue to increase rapidly, without any sort of quantitative promise to do otherwise. Oh, there is that mention of “net zero” emissions by 2060. Xi must have some sort of scam of purchased credits in mind. But don’t worry, he is already almost 68 and knows that he will be dead long before 2060. So will most everyone else who attended this summit. Nobody will be around to remember this meaningless statement.

You can be sure that as soon as the Zoom cameras are turned off the Chinese representatives burst out in laughter among themselves at how they have humiliated the foolish U.S. leaders.

If they back a viewpoint up with facts, I can appreciate a site/blog/article for what they delivered. I really stopped taking the New York Times as a beacon of reporting decades ago. They're really a nefarious platform up for the highest bidder. Want to hide a mass genocide or war crime...hit them up. Want to bury a story...hit them up. Want to curry favor with a political party, an entertainment industry or sports circles...they're your boy. Their retractions are the best Page 14-15 blurbs you'd ever want to read if you can find the 2 or 3 lines devoted to them. Now, add CNN, MSNBC, and Headline News to the fray and it's just comical the hand-wringing they can ratchet up on almost every topic. They practically invent stories so they can report on it for 72 hours. Used to be we had ABC, CBS and NBC to count on for delivering the news. Now, they too just make up or lie by omission to get viewership. A case could be made for FoxNews as well but most here don't even know an actual news program from an Op Ed show. At least on their channel you'll get some reporting on their Op Ed shows. I watch and read a lot to form my opinions. People come over to my house and see what I've got on and they go , "I don't watch that Al-Jazera propaganda"...I just smile inside. Next hour I'll be watching BBC, RT, Spike...never know. Iron sharpens iron and the days of taking Walter Cronkite at his word are over. One thing for certain is that there are other sources that devote more time to a topic than American crap. They love their little snippet factoids like chicken McNuggets. Manufactured for the masses.

Pompeo Pushes Investigation Into Kerry for Leaking Secrets to Iran

Former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress are demanding a formal investigation into John Kerry following revelations he informed Iranian leaders about covert Israeli military operations.

A leaked audio recording of Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif, who worked closely with Kerry when the 2015 nuclear accord was negotiated, catches the Iranian official claiming the former Obama administration secretary of state informed him about at least 200 Israeli strikes on Iranian military positions in Syria. That Kerry shared these intimate details "to his astonishment," according to the New York Times, suggests Kerry may have been disclosing classified information. It would also represent a stunning betrayal of America’s closest Middle East ally. Israel relies on the United States to protect shared intelligence from its top regional enemy.

The revelation is already generating calls for Kerry, the special presidential envoy for climate, to resign from the Biden administration and face a congressional investigation for possibly spilling highly classified secrets to one of America’s leading enemies.

Former Trump administration secretary of state Mike Pompeo said the audio tape proves "what I’ve said for years: That [Zarif] continued to engage with former secretary of state Kerry on policy matters after Kerry’s public service and, according to Zarif, Kerry informed the Iranians of Israeli operations."

"Before we cut a deal with Iran that reduces Americans’ security," Pompeo said, "it would be good to know what the arrangement, if any, may have been between these two leaders."

"John Kerry must resign immediately," Rep. Jim Banks (R., Ind.), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told the Washington Free Beacon. "The investigation should be retrospective."

"These reports are concerning—I’d like the opportunity to ask Secretary Kerry about this in a closed hearing," Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.), a member of the Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence and its Armed Services Committee, told the Free Beacon.

Rep. Darrel Issa (R., Calif.), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, echoed calls for an investigation and promised to hold Kerry accountable for the disclosure of sensitive military information.

"While we can’t simply accept as fact what we hear from Iran’s foreign minister (or read in the New York Times), these reports warrant full and immediate investigation," Issa said. "If John Kerry shared our nation’s intelligence with Iran and endangered Israel in any way, I promise he will be held to account."

Banks, who has been leading Republican efforts to prevent the Biden administration from unwinding tough sanctions on Iran as it negotiates a new nuclear deal, further said that any investigation into Kerry’s conversations with Iran should seek to find out if other officials from the Obama and Biden administrations revealed similar information to Tehran.

"We need to know the extent of John Kerry’s duplicity, and we need to find out if other members of the Biden-Obama administration secretly shared confidential information with Iran," Banks said. "These are urgent national security questions. If John Kerry doesn’t resign and isn’t fired, Joe Biden will have sent a clear message to Israel and all our allies: My administration is more loyal to the Democrat Party than to you."

Rep. Michael McCaul (R., Texas), lead Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, demanded the State Department "quickly clarify exactly what happened here."

In a statement, Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) said Kerry "was caught repeatedly meeting with [Zarif] during the Trump administration (notwithstanding the Logan Act)—and has never publicly accounted for what they discussed."

State Department spokesman Ned Price downplayed the issue when pressed by reporters on Monday afternoon, saying he would not speak to leaked audio. The State Department declined to comment further when contacted later in the afternoon by the Free Beacon.

Remember folks JOhnKErry was meeting with foreign policy shapers all during the Trump Presidency. It's called a crime. It's not right and you should be a bit angry and upset that the current administration would place a guy like him in a position like that. We already know the DNC despises Israel. The list of their actions is long. This is yet another thumb in their eye sockets. Biden wants to continue the failed notion that America should back Iran as the de-facto Middle East leader. Iran's track record speaks for itself.

There really is a thing called Stockholm Syndrome.

There are four key components that characterize Stockholm syndrome:

A hostage's development of positive feelings towards the captor
No previous relationship between hostage and captor
A refusal by hostages to cooperate with police forces and other government authorities (unless the captors themselves happen to be members of police forces or government authorities).
A hostage's belief in the humanity of the captor because they cease to perceive the captor as a threat when the victim holds the same values as the aggressor[7]

Stockholm syndrome is a "contested illness" due to doubt about the legitimacy of the condition.[2] It has also come to describe the reactions of some abuse victims beyond the context of kidnappings or hostage-taking. Actions and attitudes similar to those suffering from Stockholm syndrome have also been found in victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking, terror, and political and religious oppression.

This article from The Tablet is telling. Why stick up or let China get away with it's behavior? Dredge fishing all over the world. Setting up dirt island reefs as part of their "Nation", slave labor camps, er reeducation prison camps. Ugly and predatory debt lending to nations that cannot ever pay back the money or goods given and a missed payment constitutes an immediate 99 year sovereign lease. Yet, here's Joe.

"It’s too late to do anything about China. The contest for global supremacy is over. Beijing now sets the pace—economically, politically, even militarily—and there’s nothing for America to do but accept China’s inevitable victory.

Whether that’s true or not, it’s the message coming out of President Joe Biden’s Washington. A raft of appointees with alarming ties to Chinese state institutions, including China’s spy services, suggests that much of the U.S. ruling establishment just wants to get paid.

Since Barack Obama’s first term, the Democratic Party has served as the vehicle for a U.S.-based oligarchy comprising big tech, finance, manufacturing, and the media and entertainment industries, which sees Chinese labor and markets as the core of their businesses and is therefore dependent on the good graces of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Donald Trump promised to decouple U.S. national interests from those of China, but now that he’s gone from the White House, America’s China Class rules Washington, D.C., uncontested.

On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris broke a 50-50 tie in the Senate to advance Biden’s nominee Colin Kahl for undersecretary of defense for policy, the No. 3 job at the Pentagon. What most concerned Republican senators during Kahl’s confirmation hearing was his paranoia-laden social media presence, in which he pushed the Russiagate conspiracy theory and claimed that Israel was trying to sucker the United States into war with Iran.

What is more disturbing, though, is the last job Kahl held in the private sector. Starting in 2018, Kahl co-directed the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford’s Freeman Spogli Institute, which also runs the Stanford Center at Peking University. According to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Peking University “is designated high risk for its involvement in defense research and links to China’s nuclear weapons program.” The Federal Bureau of Investigation says that Peking University has been a recruiting ground for Chinese intelligence officers targeting American students, while its professors and students have penetrated U.S. institutions and industries.

In fact, Peking University’s role in subverting the United States through academic exchanges with universities like Stanford is so vital that its head is the former chief of Beijing’s State Security Bureau, responsible for espionage and counterespionage. It’s not clear why the Biden team wants its head of defense policy to be a man who drew his salary from an outfit with links to a Chinese espionage operation, unless the administration’s chief national security interest is to grease the rails for China’s rise.

Biden’s CIA director also has China issues. While former senior State Department official William Burns was head of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a prominent D.C. think tank, the organization took between $500,000 and $999,000 in 2017-18, and between $250,000 and $549,000 in 2020, from a Chinese businessman who belongs to a leading CCP advisory organization, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Unlike Kahl, Burns, a career diplomat, cruised through the confirmation process. In a prepared statement for his February hearing, Burns employed boilerplate drawn from a special Beltway lexicon to demonstrate tough talk on China: “Out-competing China,” wrote Burns, “will be key to our national security in the decades ahead.” Compare this to Kahl’s similarly vapid Senate testimony from March: “Successfully competing with China will require us to lean into our inherent strengths. That means building back better at home, spurring technological innovation, leading with our values, and reinvigorating our unrivaled network of alliances and partners.” Buzzwords like “challenge” and “compete” and concepts like “innovation,” “alliances,” and “partners” are meant to demonstrate pro forma seriousness about what Kahl called China’s “pacing threat,” when there is no real plan to do anything about it.

Take Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken, for instance. He says that Trump “was right in taking a tougher approach to China,” though he disagrees “very much with the way that he went about it in a number of areas.” What did Biden’s predecessor get wrong? He didn’t play nicely with allies and partners. “The United States won’t force our allies into an us-or-them choice with China,” Blinken said of his boss’s diplomatic style. “We will rely on innovation, not ultimatums.”

That’s just more Beltway rhetoric. By ultimatum, Blinken is likely referring to how the Trump administration compelled the United Kingdom to keep Huawei out of its 5G mobile networks. Even though the Chinese telecoms company is reportedly run by the Chinese military and intelligence services, London was loath to ban its equipment for fear of angering Beijing. “China has been the biggest contributor to global GDP in the last 20 years,” one British official said after Trump strong-armed Prime Minister Boris Johnson, “So why would we want to cut ourselves off from that?” Many U.S. allies across the board feel the same way, which is why Washington has no choice but to issue “ultimatums” if it’s serious about “challenging” China.

If the Biden team was serious about innovation, it might have thought better of naming Kahl to a senior post, since it sends the message that in spite of U.S. officials’ tough talk about protecting U.S. academic research from Chinese state theft, no one really cares. In a 2018 report, the FBI warned U.S. universities against the kinds of “joint research opportunities” Kahl was involved with, since they “can enable a foreign adversary to obtain your research.”

Since 2010, according to a 2019 Department of Education report, Kahl’s former employer “has reported over $64 million in unidentified, anonymous Chinese donations.” A letter to Stanford from the U.S. Education Department asked for a list of all visiting or temporary Stanford scholars “from or affiliated with” China-based universities and educational institutions, the Chinese government, and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). In February, federal fraud and obstruction charges were brought against a Stanford researcher who destroyed evidence that she was an active PLA officer.

So long as U.S. institutions incentivize theft, China will have the leg up on innovation—the research tab for stolen information is zero. As for development, China’s state-run enterprises produce goods and services at a fraction of what it costs private industry. Moreover, China doesn’t even pay a large part of its labor force, which is held in detention centers where at various points they have been put to work producing goods on behalf of U.S. companies—an excellent illustration of why talk of challenging or competing with China is worse than useless.

Yes, it’s good to sanction the Chinese for running forced labor camps in Xinjiang, but the demand for cheap labor is coming from outside China, too. Among the most significant consumers of cheap and forced Chinese labor are U.S. corporations who use “social justice” in America as a shield and sword for their own appalling business practices.

Just look at Nike’s No. 1 pitchman, NBA All-Star LeBron James. By serving as Beijing’s biggest public defender in the world of professional sports, James cashes multi-million-dollar checks on the backs of forced Chinese labor. Smearing American cops who protect teenagers as racists is one way that James the social justice activist whitewashes the sociopathic behavior of the NBA and Nike—and the CCP officials who control their purse strings.

It is a fact of American life today that the Democratic Party, including its corporate sponsors like Apple and it’s bureaucratic assets like the CIA, is structurally pro-China. The party’s major sources of fundraising—like Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and Hollywood—are dependent on either a huge pool of cheap Chinese labor or on an enormous Chinese consumer market; access to both depends on not displeasing Beijing’s vicious authoritarians. In advancing China’s interests, the Democratic Party also advances its own."

Some people still think America is not being taken over little by little by the help of domestic crypto-commies.
Of course it's been a work in progress since at least the FDR administration.

But you know that mental illness Stockholm Syndrome..."A hostage's belief in the humanity of the captor because they cease to perceive the captor as a threat when the victim holds the same values as the aggressor" Ya, that explains it all.
Can't happen here, this is America. Right?

Maricopa County Defies Subpoena, Won't Release Hardware For Election Audit Over 'Security Risk'

Something must be really worrying Democrats. There appears to be a full court press effort to delay and defer any and every effort to audit Maricopa County's election results. The Biden justice department added to pressure from Arizona's chief elections officer (a Democrat) and the Arizona Democratic Party, and now, Daniel Payne at JustTheNews.com reports that officials in Arizona's Maricopa County are withholding materials subpoenaed by the state legislature as part of its audit of the county's 2020 election, claiming that surrendering them would constitute a security risk for both law enforcement and federal agencies.

A Monday letter sent from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office to Ken Bennett, the former Arizona secretary of state and the liaison between the state Senate and the auditors, said the county had elected not to turn over "several routers" requested by the legislature due to an alleged "significant security risk to law enforcement data utilized by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as well as numerous federal agencies."

Given that President Biden is the most popular president ever and we know from the mainstream media that there was no, none, zip, nada, election fraud anywhere in America, why are Democrats so aggressively interfering in the process of

Update (1300ET): Shortly after Arizona's top elections officer raised concerns about the Maricopa County election audit process, the Biden Department of Justice piled on, expressing concern about ballot security and potential voter intimidation.

As AP reports, in a letter to GOP Senate President Karen Fann, the head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division said the Senate's farming out of 2.1 million ballots from the state's most populous county to a contractor may run afoul of federal law requiring ballots to remain in the control of elections officials for 22 months.

And Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela S. Karlan said that the Senate contractor's plans to directly contact voters could amount to illegal voter intimidation.

“Past experience with similar investigative efforts around the country has raised concerns that they can be directed at minority voters, which potentially can implicate the anti-intimidation prohibitions of the Voting Rights Act,” Karlan wrote.

“Such investigative efforts can have a significant intimidating effect on qualified voters that can deter them from seeking to vote in the future.”

So, Democrats play the race-card again?

“We are very concerned that the auditors are engaged in ongoing and imminent violations of federal voting and election laws,” said the letter sent by the Brennan Center for Justice, the Leadership Conference and Protect Democracy.

Why are they so worried? They already told America there was no fraud?

As The Epoch Times' Mimi Nguyen Ly detailed earlier, Arizona’s top elections officer Katie Hobbs on Wednesday alleged multiple points of concern regarding the forensic audit of the 2020 presidential election currently underway in Maricopa County.

In a letter (pdf) to former Secretary of State Ken Bennett, a Republican who is the state Senate’s liaison for the audit, Hobbs outlined 13 points of concern over how the audit is being run. This included seven points of concern over counting procedures that the state Senate and audit contractor Cyber Ninjas disclosed, as well as six points of concern over what her observers saw at the audit site.

Under terms of a lawsuit settlement filed on Wednesday, defendants Bennett, Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, and the lead auditor, Florida-based Cyber Ninjas have 48 hours to respond to Hobbs’ concerns. If the concerns are not addressed, Hobbs could take them back to court for breach of contract.

The audit began on April 23 and continues at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, a venue the auditors have booked and secured until May 14.

Hobbs, a Democrat, alleged that the procedures governing the audit do not ensure accuracy, security, and transparency.

“I’m not sure what compelled you to oversee this audit, but I’d like to assume you took this role with the best of intentions,” she told Bennett in the letter.

“It is those intentions I appeal to now: either do it right, or don’t do it at all.”

The Arizona Democratic Party filed a last-minute lawsuit against state Senate leadership to try to stop the audit from going ahead but their bid to immediately halt it was rebuffed by a judge. The settlement means the case has concluded.

“The settlement in ADP v Fann requires the Senate to have procedures to protect our ballots, election equipment, and data. Today, I put the Senate on notice that security shortfalls remain and must be addressed under the agreement,” Hobbs said in a statement.

The official Twitter account for the audit, run by Bennet’s team, said late on Wednesday that Hobbs “continues to make baseless claimes [sic] about this forensic audit but has never led an election audit in her entire career.”

The message declared, “The audit continues!”

The group furthermore encouraged Twitter users to retweet if they think audits are a state right. Another statement released later on Wednesday reads:

“Democrat [Secretary of State Katie Hobbs] who does not support election audits or transparency now wants the Federal Government to get involved in the Arizona Senate forensic audit. Arizona has the authority to conduct this audit without interference from the Feds!”

Bennett did not immediately respond to a request for comment over the contents of Hobbs’ letter.

"At his Senate confirmation hearing in January, Blinken continued to reassure by expressing his intention to fix the defects of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as the Iran nuclear deal is known. The following month, Foreign Policy reported that a split had opened up inside the government, with Sullivan and Blinken fulfilling the hopes placed on them. When Malley argued in favor of giving “inducements” to Iran to convince it to return quickly to the JCPOA, Sullivan and Blinken “dominated the discussion” by “toeing a harder line.”

Over the past month, that line became even harder—as in harder to see. On April 2, Malley gave an interview to PBS that raised eyebrows in Jerusalem, Riyadh, and in Congress. Ahead of nuclear talks in Vienna, where the Europeans were about to host indirect negotiations between Biden officials and Iranian representatives about resurrecting the JCPOA, Malley expressed an eagerness to lift American sanctions on Iran and ensure “that Iran enjoys the benefits that it was supposed to enjoy under the deal.” About the interview, an anonymous senior Israeli official said, “If this is American policy, we are concerned.”

Israeli intelligence operatives put an exclamation point on that sentence when they (it seems clear) sabotaged a power generator at the Iranian nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz. While damaging Iran’s nuclear program, the operation also signaled Israeli opposition to the American position in the Vienna talks, now underway.

The alarm in Jerusalem is justified, if the May 1 statement by Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s lead negotiator in Vienna, is anything to go by. The American negotiators, he claimed, had already agreed in principle to remove sanctions on Iran’s energy sector, automotive industry, financial services, banking industry, and ports—to eliminate, in other words, all of the most significant economic sanctions ever imposed on Iran. Recent statements from Biden administration officials give us no reason to disbelieve Araghchi, and the smart money is now on a full resurrection of the JCPOA in relatively short order.

But even the Israelis have yet to absorb the full scope and magnitude of Biden’s accommodation of Iran. The problem is not that Sullivan and Blinken are failing to restrain Malley, but that they are marching in lockstep with him. A consensus reigns inside the administration, not just on the JCPOA but on every big question of Middle East strategy: Everyone from the president on down agrees about the need to complete what Obama started—which means that the worst is yet to come.

If the control that Obama’s project exercises over every mind in the Biden administration is not already obvious, it is because confusion still reigns about the project’s true nature. Doubt us? Then take the following one-question quiz: To what, precisely, was Robert Malley referring when he spoke of Obama’s half-completed “experiment”?

If you answered “the JCPOA,” you got it wrong.

If you said “improving relations with Iran,” you scored much higher, but you still failed.

The president’s “ultimate goal,” Malley wrote, was “to help the [Middle East] find a more stable balance of power that would make it less dependent on direct U.S. interference or protection.” That is a roundabout way of saying that Obama dreamed of a new Middle Eastern order—one that relies more on partnership with Iran.

And the dream lives on. In May 2020, six months after Malley penned his Foreign Affairs essay, Jake Sullivan, writing as an adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign, co-authored his own article laying out a Middle East strategy. The goal, he explained, is to be “less ambitious” militarily, “but more ambitious in using U.S. leverage and diplomacy to press for a de-escalation in tensions and eventually a new modus vivendi among the key regional actors.” If we substitute the word “balance” for “modus vivendi,” and if we recognize that “de-escalation” and “diplomacy” require cooperation with Iran, then Sullivan’s vision is identical to Obama’s “ultimate goal” as described by Malley. Sullivan emphasized that equivalence when he defined the objective of his plan as “changing the United States’ role in a regional order it helped create.”"

Poor UAW. They donate their money...they donate their time...their blind devotion to the DNC is staggering. What do they get in return for all of their efforts? ANOTHER kick in the ass!

The billionaire investor in 2009 landed a spot on former president Barack Obama's economic advisory board after donating thousands to the Democrat's campaign. Just months later, the administration approved a $529 million government loan to Fisker Automotive, an electric car manufacturer that considered Doerr's firm a "significant investor." Then-vice president Biden announced Fisker's plan to build cars in his home state of Delaware, promising a resurgence of "American manufacturing." The company went on to produce its vehicles in Finland and declared bankruptcy within years of receiving the taxpayer funds.

Nearly a decade after Fisker's taxpayer-funded failure, Biden is again heaping praise on green technology companies backed by major campaign donors and administration officials. In addition to Doerr—who steered at least $100,000 to Biden's campaign—three hedge fund partners who helped raise millions for Biden hold major financial stakes in Proterra. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm also holds up to $5 million in Proterra stock and served on the company's board for nearly four years.

They'll fall for this just like the windmills we're buying from China that they manufacture with slave labor! John Kerry is cool with that...because...Greta's "Global Warming" scarefest is the war the world needs to win.

During testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Kerry was pressed on his recent comments suggesting that China's ongoing genocide against the ethnic Uyghur minority should not "get in the way" of a climate deal. Some 80 percent of the world's solar panels are produced in China, and the United States has determined that at least a portion are made by Uyghur slave laborers in the country's Xinjiang province. Asked about the issue, Kerry was forced to publicly acknowledge that slave labor fuels the green energy market.

"You're absolutely correct. … It is a problem," Kerry said in response to questions from Rep. Michael McCaul (Texas), the committee's lead Republican. "Xinjiang province … produces some solar panels that we believe, in some cases, are being produced with forced labor by Uyghurs."

Biden pitches $174 bln EV plan in Michigan, takes truck for a spin

President Joe Biden made the case on Tuesday for his $174 billion electric-vehicle proposal, urging automakers not to build zero-emission vehicles abroad for U.S. consumers - and even got to take a new zero-emission truck out for a drive.

"We need automakers and other companies to keep investing here in America and not take the benefits of our public investments and expand electric vehicles and battery manufacturing abroad," Biden said on a visit to a Ford Motor Co (F.N) electric-vehicle plant in Dearborn, Michigan, to see the EV version of its best-selling F-150 pickup truck.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) has criticized General Motors Co (GM.N) for announcing a $1 billion investment in Mexico to build EVs and Ford for opting to build some EVs in Mexico rather than Ohio.

GM noted it had recently announced nearly 9,000 new U.S. jobs and $9 billion in U.S. EV and battery facilities. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford said at the event that Biden "understands that building things in this country matters" and added the company employs more UAW workers than its Detroit rivals.

The UAW also wants GM to recognize the union at joint-venture battery facilities. Ford is considering similar ventures. "We need you to deepen your partnership with the UAW," Biden added.

UAW President Rory Gamble urged Biden to make sure investment encourages strong labor standards, good union jobs and U.S.-built vehicles.

Biden argues the United States is falling behind China, which is selling more EVs.

"We're going to set a new pace for electric vehicles," the Democratic president said, vowing to reverse what he called the Trump administration's "short-sighted" rollback of vehicle emissions standards.

"This sucker's quick," Biden told reporters, adding it could go from 0-60 miles an hour in just 4.4 seconds. "It feels great."

REBATES, TAX CREDITS

Biden ruled out consumer incentives for high-priced electric luxury models, according to a White House fact sheet, as he argues for dramatic government spending to prod Americans to buy electric vehicles.

His electric-vehicle plan, first announced on March 31, cheered investors who bought shares in several electric-vehicle startups that have struggled. Shares in electric truck maker Lordstown Motors Corp (RIDE.O) rose more than 20% and shares in Nikola Corp (NKLA.O)were up more than 6% in late trading.

Biden is pushing for electric vehicles in the auto industry's heartland, and trying to win over auto workers worried that more electric cars and trucks will mean fewer jobs.

The White House wants to encourage new battery production facilities, which are key to ramping up U.S. electric vehicle manufacturing.

Biden's plan "proposes cost-sharing grants to support new high capacity battery facilities in the United States" and backs grants to fund the retooling of shuttered factories "to build advanced vehicles and parts."

The centerpiece of Biden's EV plan is $100 billion in consumer rebates. read more Biden backs a further $10 billion in new tax credits for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty work vehicles.

Biden faces resistance from many congressional Republicans on his EV focus. Republicans are poised to release a counterproposal to Biden's infrastructure plan and Republicans will meet with Biden's commerce and transportation chiefs later on Capitol Hill. read more

The president wants $15 billion to build 500,000 EV charging stations by 2030 - including in apartment buildings and public parking - and $45 billion to electrify a significant number of school and transit buses. He also wants to fund shifting the federal fleet to more EVs, including for the Postal Service to begin using EV delivery trucks.

What Reuters failed to cover but was said at this event...

With Biden in the driver's seat, a reporter asked the president if he would take a quick question about Israel, which has been engaged in more than week of airstrikes with Hamas.

"No, you can’t. Not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it," Biden said, prompting a few laughters from reporters. "I’m only teasing.”

"OK, here we go. Ready?” Biden continued

A pretty serious question that needs an answer. America needs to hear from it's leader. Our allies need to hear from our leader. The World needs to hear from our leader. NY Times: Slow Joe Getting Slower

The New York Times has a remarkable story out this weekend that offers its typical “behind the scenes” construction of how the White House operates—in this case, under President Biden. While the story tries to soften the blows with lots of fluff and filler, it paints a devastating picture of Biden for the careful reader. It explains he has a quick temper, takes a long time to make decisions, and needs to be heavily propped up by staff to function. It reminds us that Biden is indeed a creature of the Senate, where he mostly attended hearings, made speeches, fiddled with legislation, and seldom made any decisions that suggested executive skill (Quick—can anyone name a major piece of Biden legislation? The crime bill of 1994? Likely written mostly by the Clinton Justice Department. The bankruptcy reform bill of 2007? Likely written largely by Delaware-based banks. You get the picture.)

Here’s one early paragraph:

On policy issues, Mr. Biden, 78, takes days or weeks to make up his mind as he examines and second-guesses himself and others. It is a method of governing that can feel at odds with the urgency of a country still reeling from a pandemic and an economy struggling to recover.

One passage details weeks and weeks of meetings, briefings, and deliberations about how to confront Putin, culminating with this astonishing paragraph:

In the end, Mr. Biden called Mr. Putin directly and then delivered a public statement on Russia sanctions that lasted only five minutes and 49 seconds. For as much as Mr. Biden projects an aura of ease — with his frequent backslapping, references to Irish poetry and liberal use of the phrase “c’mon, man” — his aides say it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to prepare him to project an assured demeanor.

The subtext of the first sentence here is that Biden is simply not up to the give-and-take of a conversation with a foreign leader. No wonder Vice President Harris seems to be the person who is making personal contact with foreign leaders.

The timing of the Times story is interesting, as Biden’s “honeymoon” period looks to be over, his ambitious legislative and spending agenda is in trouble on Capitol Hill, and multiple self-induced crises are piling up in ways that bring back memories of the ineptitude of Jimmy Carter.

Hunter Biden brought VP Joe to dinner with shady business partners

"Joe Biden met with Ukrainian, Russian and Kazakhstani business associates of his son’s at a dinner in Washington, DC, while he was vice president, records on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show.

The dinner, on April 16, 2015, was held in the private “Garden Room” at Café Milano, a Georgetown institution whose catchphrase is: “Where the world’s most powerful people go.”

The next day, Hunter received an email from Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, to thank him for introducing him to his father.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together,” Pozharskyi wrote on April 17, 2015.

“It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”

At the time, Burisma was paying Hunter $83,333 a month to sit on its board.

The guest list prepared by Hunter three weeks before the Café Milano dinner included Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina and her husband, corrupt former Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov, who since has died. Baturina wired $3.5 million on Feb. 14, 2014, to Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC, a Delaware-based investment firm co-founded by Hunter and Devon Archer, a former adviser to Secretary of State John Kerry."

AT EASE, JOE! Biden slammed for ‘creepy’ comments about veteran’s daughter as he compliments little girl’s legs & says she ‘looks 19’

President Joe Biden had another awkward moment on Friday after he complimented a little girl's appearance at a Virginia military base.

"I love those barrettes in your hair, man," Biden told the girl. "I tell you what, look at her, she looks like she’s 19 years old, sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed."

The little girl, who appeared to be no older than an elementary student, was accompanied by her parents and two older brothers on stage.

Biden was introduced by the girl's mom at the Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia.

The president's remarks were quickly picked up on social media, drawing the attention of many of his critics.

Nathan Wurtzel, a Republican consultant, tweeted "That’s pretty *&^%$!ed up."

Wurtzel followed up in a subsequent tweet: "I guess that explains the Lincoln Project support."

People commenting on Biden's remarks didn't just stop there.

RealClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan tweeted "um, wut" while Ricochet's Jon Gabriel tweeted "dude has issues."

Other reactions were even more succinct.

Conservative podcast host Stephen Miller even posted a photo of Kathy Bates from the movie Misery and captioned it: "This is going to be his last straw. We're not going to see him for the next two weeks."

This isn't the first time the president has made awkward remarks onstage.

While serving as vice-president, Biden stood behind Ash Carter's wife Stephanie in 2015 while Carter was sworn in as defense secretary.

He then held Stephanie's shoulders and whispered something in her ear.

That same year, Biden gave Senator Chris Coons' 13-year-old daughter a kiss on the forehead after swearing in Coons.

His personal effects have been the subject of accusations during the presidential campaign, with women accusing him of inappropriate contact.

He then released a campaign video promising to "be more mindful and respectful of people’s personal space."

From The Border...

"Seeing no solutions to the border crisis from the federal government, some counties are looking at all possible means to rein in the high-speed vehicle pursuits, trespassing, break-ins, vehicle thefts, and other crimes that are increasing in their communities.

“I’m going to start here, locally. If we catch them, we’re going to start prosecuting these people that are trespassing on y’all’s property,” Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe told an appreciative crowd in Brackettville, Texas, on May 22. “And whatever other legitimate charge we can stack on there to try to deter them from coming to Kinney County. We’re going to try to hold these people accountable.”

Neighboring Edwards County is doing the same.

Coe said his county would start charging for trespassing on June 1. He provided ranchers with a form that would authorize the sheriff to file charges on their behalf if someone is caught on their property—saving the rancher from coming into town to press charges every time a trespasser is caught. For many local ranchers, it’s a daily occurrence."

Remember when Clinton weaponized the AG? Then Obama did it as well?

Well, rumblin' stumbin' bumblin' O'Biden is no different!

AG Merrick Garland Announces DAG Lisa Monaco Will Lead DOJ Effort to Frame Political Opposition as Domestic Terrorists, Equates January 6th DC Protest to 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing

The coordination of narrative engineering across all agencies of the U.S. government is quite remarkable. Today Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that Deputy AG Lisa Monaco (Obama crew) will lead a “whole of government” effort to label any political opposition to the Biden regime as “domestic terrorists”.

To facilitate that objective, Garland announced that DAG Monaco is reconstituting “the domestic terrorism executive committee“, an investigative agency process used in the aftermath of the Oklahoma bombing in 1995. Additionally, Garland is noting the January 6th Capitol Hill protest was the current equivalent of the 1995 bombing that killed 168 people and injured 680. The Domestic Terrorism committee, led by Monaco, will focus their efforts at ensuring the center of U.S. government is never again put at risk.

You only need to watch the first 4 minutes of the video below to see the framework of the narrative being deployed. Garland’s statements align with Nancy Pelosi’s legislative demand to weaponize a January 6th Commission for the same political intents and purposes. [White House Announcement Here]

As announced the Biden administration will use the opportunity of the protest against the 2020 election outcome to set into place various multi-agency monitoring systems to “identify threats”, “monitor behaviors” and “conduct surveillance” on all Americans, in effort to identify the “domestic extremists”. This, they hope, will help eliminate any political push-back in the upcoming 2022 mid-term election.

The purpose of this announcement should be crystal clear to everyone. We discussed and outlined the background previously. {Go Deep 1} and {Go Deep Two}

In the background of these maneuvers Big Tech and Corporate Media have been instructed to push the “domestic extremist” narrative; and any truth-tellers are considered subversive, ie. against the interests of the U.S. government.

The January 6th DC protest is being used as evidence for that narrative. Deplatforming, censorship and ultimately control of voices who would warn of the larger issues continues daily.

Let me be very clear… stop and hear the drums… Something is about to happen. Approximately 100 million American voters are considered dissidents now.

Top Obama Ethics Official Rages: Biden’s Actions ‘A Real F*** You’ To U.S., He’s A ‘F***ing Failure’

The former top ethics official for President Barack Obama unloaded on President Joe Biden in a profanity-laced rant on Twitter late this week, saying that Biden has been an utter failure.

The official made the remarks in response to a report from The Washington Post about how numerous top Biden aides have received “coveted jobs” in the Biden administration.

“I’m sorry, I know some folks don’t like hearing any criticism of him. But this royally sucks,” Walter Shaub, the former director of the Office of Government Ethics, wrote on Twitter. “I’m disgusted. A lot of us worked hard to tee him up to restore ethics to government and believed the promises. This is a a real ‘f— you’ to us—and government ethics.”

“Pathetic!” Shaub continued. “The responses from people who spent 4 years complaining the other side was putting party over country are pathetic. They sound just like MAGAs. The jobs went to privileged kiddos with mommies & daddies who cozied up to POTUS. Nepotism is illegal.”

“EVEN THE F-ING HEAD OF PRESIDENTIAL PERSONNEL, WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE KEEPING THEM HONEST, HAS A CHILD WHO’S A RECENT COLLEGE GRAD WORKING IN THE ADMINISTRATION,” Shaub raged. “AND THE SPOUSE OF THE WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. This is ridiculous. What a f—ing failure.”

“When little problems like this, which are so damn easy to avoid, crop up, it’s a sign of much bigger rot. Because if you can’t even do the easy things, you sure as hell can’t do the hard things,” he continued. “The White House’s defense that they had the minimum qualifications is total BS. The issue isn’t whether they were qualified (some weren’t). It’s that a WH that promised diversity is giving these privileged white kids with connected mommies and daddies prime jobs over others!”

“And all the whataboutism from tweeps defending this total BS is just giving fuel to the next corrupt authoritarian like Trump who wins the White House to say ‘if even Biden was fine with nepotism in his administration, I can do anything,'” he continued. “So what if WH claims the parents weren’t involved. I’m sure some wink-nudged this. But I’m even more sure they didn’t HAVE TO be. The head of Presidential Personnel knew the score. If you believe this is a coincidence, I have a bridge to sell you. I have 3 bridges to sell you.”

“Do I sound bitter? HELL, YEAH, I’M BITTER! I’m the stupid moron who fell for his false promises. I wasn’t naïve enough to think he’d be a transformative president. He told us he’d be plain vanilla. But I thought there was momentum behind his ethics promises. Boy was I stupid,” he continued. “Take his much touted ‘golden parachute payment’ ban. Exciting, right? Turns out, it only applies if the payment is expressly for going into the UNITED STATES government. If the payor says ‘I’m giving this to you because you’re going into govt,’ they can keep it!”

“In two decades of govt ethics, I’ve only ONCE seen a payment for going in to the U.S. govt. But I’ve seen plenty offered for going into govt. And the people who drafted this sham prohibition new [sic] no one would ever offer a payment expressly for going into the U.S. govt,” he continued. “And it only bans CASH or something substituting for an agreed upon payment. It does NOT ban an employer saying, ‘we normally make folks forfeit unvested stock options, but we’ll let you keep your millions in options because you’re going in the US govt.’ THAT’S ALLOWED!”

“Or how about this? Biden’s ethics pledge bans appointees working on matters involving former employers and clients. This month, the administration quietly issued guidance saying it doesn’t apply to clients that paid for speeches!!!! Yellen, for instance, made $7 million that way,” he continued. “The guidance also quietly said it doesn’t apply if a news channel paid you to appear on TV. You can work directly with them. But remember how made we were when the Trump admin gave waivers to former Fox News personalities? Welp, here we go again.”

“And I don’t love having a milk lobbyist running USDA or a ‘strategic advisor’ (i.e., shadow lobbyist) running the State Department. Or the brother of Biden’s top WH advisor lobbying the Executive Office of the President through a firm the Biden appointee founded,” he continued. “I miss the days when Obama appointed Norm Eisen to be his ethics Czar. Biden chose not to do that. Surely, he could have found someone like Norm–only this time maybe someone not white and male for a change–to champion ethics in this admin. But here we are with problems already.”

“We’ve got a Raytheon board member leading DOD. We’ve got private equity fund people in the WH and at State,” he continued. “You’ve got corporate execs and big firm lawyers who represent corporations throughout. And personnel is policy.”

Shaub later said that the ethics was not even in the “top 100 things the administration cares about” and then repeatedly bashed former President Donald Trump and urged Biden to pass controversial Democrat legislation.

He cannot make a cognizant point. This is the reason why nobody ever hears a Democrat saying good things about this abortion of an administration. Nobody knows what Xiden is talking about!
