Cut and paste from the assignment summary and rubic.

You are a business systems analyst at Web Explore, Inc. The company is planning to launch a new registration form on its website. Web Explore, Inc. now has customers in over 20 countries and data breaches are becoming more of a risk. Web Explore, Inc. has an organizational need to increase security and integrity of all data that is obtained through the form, such as customers’ names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and zip codes.

The new web service will meet these needs by:
• Allowing only customer sign-ups that have the @gmail.com domain
• Blocking [email protected] domains and notifying the user
• Not duplicating customer email domains
• Using IP addresses to increase security
• Using recaptcha to reduce spam sign-ups

Since the registration form is a new web service that Web Explore, Inc. has never used before, its IT department has been asked by leadership to create a web service implementation plan. This plan will ensure that organizational needs are being met, and will inform leadership on how the task of creating a web service will be implemented effectively.

As a business systems analyst within the IT department, you have been asked to present this implementation plan. Your plan will include all aspects of the planning process for this web service.

Directions:
Prepare a Web Service Implementation Plan for the new web service. Your plan should include the purpose, organizational needs, user experience, system architecture, tools and processes, data collection, and storage.

• Explain the purpose of the web service that is being implemented. Consider why the organization is implementing this specific web service.
• Describe how the new web service will enable the organizational needs listed in the scenario. Consider the needs that will be met once the web service is deployed and users engage with it.
• Explain how the user experience influences the implementation process. Consider how the user experience affects the interface of the web service.
• Illustrate the architecture of the web service by creating a diagram. Be sure to illustrate how the system functions. In your diagram, you must describe the importance of the interoperability of services.

You must create a diagram that includes at a minimum:
o Server
o Call and response packages
o Client
o Web service
• Describe the tools and processes that the organization will use as it implements this web service. You must consider:
o Equipment, including the hardware and software needed to implement the web service
o Personnel involved in the implementation of the web service
o Timeline—how long an implementation process would take
o Technical training—time and resources associated with training employees
• Identify how the organization plans to collect and store its user data. You must identify:
o The data that needs to be collected
o The data that needs to be stored
o The database that should be used, with a rationale for selecting that database that includes cost and efficiency

What to Submit:
To complete this project, you must submit the following:
Web Service Implementation Plan
Your plan should be 3–5 pages in length and may include diagrams and visuals. Within the plan, you must address all of the topics presented in the directions. You can use this optional template to help you organize your information.

Seeing I'm supposed to play the role of the "Business Systems Analyst within the IT department", I'm thinking...

On page one of the PowerPoint presentation I will have a cool template background that I grab off the internets with a big font saying something like "Web Service Implementation Plan" with a date and some generic made up business logo.

Page 2 will be some sort of outline of what I'll present.

Pages 3, 4, 5 some jibberish about some BS that hits the topic points with minimum detail and assign details to specific yet vague made up team members with no accountability (that's how we do it in the real world).

Page 6 (because if you do 6 pages where only 5 are required it shows that I'm giving extra effort) will be "Question and Answers?"

Ya know, a typical lame business presentation since the audience will only be there because I brought coffee and doughnuts.

Nah, it's not a cyber security course. It's one of the basic course's they have in the IT section. It's more of a top level course on how things are set up with client-host interfaces and web based apps. API's vs web services, there's there's some scripting/programming/protocols elements that they go into like java, html, SOAP, Python...

Do they teach you in writing class(es) to submit your report in a binder/folder to make a better impression? I had to do this in one business writing class and have only used black since then. For real. I had to take a college class to learn this.

Drafter doesn’t even know how to use the “private” setting in his web search, this is next level stuff……

Nah, all this is on-line so no physical papers are used but things have things have to be submitted in specific files (.doc, .pdf, and so on). Written reports are to be submitted in APA format unless otherwise specified or with one of their accepted templates.

One weird thing (not related to my current endeavor and off topic) that's been beaten into me and has become second nature/habit from years of doing stuff in a previous life:
- No red ink can be used on any controlled documents unless used for red-lining a document, red pens are outlawed on the manufacturing floor. Red lined documentation has to include a citation or reference to an in-process ECO or ECR (Engineering Control Order, Engineering Control Request).
- No black ink to be used on any controlled document, only blue (attempts to differentiate between original and photocopies).
- Any handwritten entries or notes have to be initialed and dated - your handwritten initials are logged and controlled by the document control and regulatory departments as part of the orientation when you first start the job.
- Only ball point pens, no felt tip, no gel ink or anything that might bleed or smudge. This was mostly due to working in a clean room environment to help prevent contamination which was odd since we had ink jet printers and ink stamps in various areas (shrug).

Last place I worked (Teleflex), the overall mothership was located in Ireland so preferred date format had to be in 4 digit year-two digit month-two digit day (example 2018-01-15) since this is how the Europeans do their dates and a "-" instead of a "/". I've had stuff kicked back to me because I did it 1/15/18 which was not acceptable, it's not in European format and the "/" can be mistaken as a "1" or an "l". F#ckin bureaucrats.

This made me appreciate and understand why it costs so much for a Department of Defense approved hammer and why it costs so much to get FDA approvals. If I never have to work under FDA regulations, I'll be 100% O.K. with that. Wayyyyy lots of paperwork for even the smallest insignificant change in something but I understand why - the stuff that we were making will eventually end up in a human body and if something went wrong, someone is going to come looking to find out who signed off on what and why.

I can't wait until I get into the cyber security courses. Meybe I can learn how to hack into Drafter's browser and leave incriminating cookies behind to implicate his momma on bitcoin transactions.

If you know his ip and you know a couple of his dog names you can probably crack his router and if you know which cable company he has ... you have to figure his router is old. Maybe run some nmap on it, you know... just to see if anything is open.

nm, I'll quit talking now.

I heard Drafter had a bad sexual experience with a porcupine once, or maybe it was twice.
