Never had 'em. Curious to know that, too... Another site has the "Bespoke" custom rolls. Wonder if they're any good as well.

Guantanamera Minutos

Box of 20 for $53, that includes shipping. Come's to $2.65 per stick, fits my budget perfectly.

The first inch leaves something to be desired but the more you suck the better it gets. ;)

Cuban yard gar?, whoda thunk it.

That the 'Bespokes' or Ravi's? Ravi lists his in the CC cat, not the NC and I've always taken him as an honest broker.

The Bespokes are the only ones I remember trying years ago. Actually good construction but had a Nic kick instead of a Cuban twang.

Couple of new boxes of PSD#4 from AMP Nov '20. Pulled one today before they go in the freezer. Surprisingly very enjoyable ROTT. Gonna try another after they come out and if it's the same these will jump ahead of older boxes in the rotation. Prolly not a long term ager IMO.

Cuban cigars are a thing of the past.
I’m of the opinion the entire process to the final product has changed over time, the quality in cigars can not be matched.
I find cigars from South America especially Nicaragua are more superior then the Cuban market.

Yep.

I'm trying to smoke a H. Upmann Mag 46 right now that is plugged. The same as about 30% of the Cuban cigars I have tried to smoke. I'm conditioned at this point that if it's Cuban, the construction sucks.

Maybe they don't like me.

Of the last 4 I've tried to smoke, 2 were plugged beyond any real repair, and 2 were just very chitty draws.

I smoked my first one in about 2005, and it's been my consistent experience that Cuba consistently makes the chittiest quality cigars, construction-wise, of any country. By a fairly wide margin.

Or get a Perfecdraw. Saved numerous Cubans, some Nicaraguans, a few Dominicans, and a couple Hondurans.... as well as a Victor Sinclair of undetermined origin

Or what Macs said. That works too

With all the price increases from Cuba over the past few years my choices have shrunk, as have the cigars. Lately has been MC4, Partagas Shorts and Romeo Corinitos en Cetros. I sure used to love RASS, Edmundos, Magnum 46's and Siglo II's and ERDM Choix Supremes.... but have been priced out.

ERDM Demi Tasse- 15-20 years old. Nothing but flavor. Lasted at least 30 minutes.
Montecristo Joyitas 13 years old. Chocolate in the beginning. Tasted great.
Le Hoyo Du Maire- at least 10 years old. Very woody and creamy. No lost of flavor due to its age.
HdM Epicure No 2 in a tube- 11 years old with the tube never opened until yesterday. Razor burn. Perfect.

Adjust your RH to something low, like 62%.

I tried one that Whistlebritches sent me, a Bolivar PC from '08, and it wasn't plugged. Thank goodness because it was fantastic.

Also, take your cigar(s) out of your humidor and let it/them to sit out a day or two before you smoke. Won't hurt the cigar. Coupled with reducing RH, I would bet your cigars will smoke fine.

What cigars have been plugged for you?

El Rey Del Mundo Demi Tasse size of a thick cigarette (30 x 40). About 15 years old. First half lasted almost 45 minutes! Ate a chocolate bar while smoking it and the flavor still came through. Delsih flavor bomb.

RASS. about 10 years old. Blissful. I smoked it almost to the bitter end. Earthy, sweet, wood, leather and creamy. Odd blue-ish) smoke. Down to my last one from a cab (I think/don't remember).

Been going through Party Shorts too quickly. It has been my morning smoke almost daily recently and I thought I had laid away enough to last the hot summer months when I can't order more. Little suckers are just too good.
