2nd amendment sanctuary state.Much thanks to Governor Abbott for steam rolling this thru the house.Final bill is complete and a signing party is to be set.I couldn't be more proud.......finally the conservatives grew a pair and told them limp wristed crybaby liberals in Austin to suck it.


Governor Abbott for POTUS...........then Colonel Allen West can roll into the governorship.

I can't argue with that, it isn't a decision I would support. Though it certainly is a decision that a state should decide and not the federal government. I'll have to read up on it. I've always wanted a tank or three.

Don’t know about Abbott or tejas politics other than Cruz is a worm with an ugly wife and murderous dad, but I’m for the sanctuary state, and for states further protecting states rights. As long as it’s not in defense of things like slavery, I’m a hypocrite in that regard. I think slavery is kind of bad.

Absolutely the law has teeth that they requested.Felons in possession of a firearm went from a 2-5 sentence to a 5-20.This wasn't their only stipulation to get onboard but this was key.As one Sheriff in the metroplex stated(para!phrased).......he had no problem with the good citizens carrying firearms,they aren't the problem.He insisted felons convicted of any crime involving firearms require a much stiffer sentence.Other Sheriffs and Chiefs jumped onboard quickly once the 5-20 minimum was added.

That being said there were a few law dogs that just couldn't get behind this.........you know those that feel only they can be trusted with a firearm.

Tony, federal background checks are still in effect. It seems pointless to require registration to carry concealed or open. If someone wants to try to kill me with a gun a lack of a permit will not stop them. On the other hand, a law abiding citizen or myself could potentially drop the individual trying to kill me. Take here for instance, in all likelihood most of the people here dislike me, some rather intensely. Yet I suspect if they saw a crazy trying to murder me with a gun and they had a gun they would try to drop the crazy. I think it is far less likely they would help the crazy out.

Abbott had nothing to do with "telling us to conserve electricity.Thanks to you green **** s that convinced the ERCOT board that wind and solar could sustain the grid,well they learned the hard way.Our latest warning was due to generators being down......and Gov Abbot is addressing this as any governor should,by first removing full control from these clowns and putting coal,lignite,natural gas and atomic plants back on the line.Its always funny to me how the tree huggers create most of these issues yet they are the first lay blame anywhere but on themselves.
