Leo Kottke - 6 and 12 String Guitar

Nice change of pace. Busy afternoon and then the family came over for dinner.

First heard the album in 1975 and it inspired me to learn to play guitar. The record store that I was working in also sold guitars so my goal was to learn a chord everytime I worked. I lasted about a month. d'oh!

Totally forgot about his version!

Gonna have to dig up the album.

I also like Steve Hunter’s version...totally different, of course.

Ry Cooder - Chicken Skin Music

With Hawaiian steel and slack key guitar legends Gabby “Pops” Pahinui and Leland “Atta” Isaacs, this is easily my favorite RC album.

Jim Croce - Classic Hits

After posting a few JC songs in another thread, thought this was only fitting. I became a big fan of his after obtaining "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" from the Record Club of America and was really bummed when he died in the plane crash.

Rolling Stones - It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll

Lucky enough to have seen Mick Taylor’s last American concert with the Stones (…as a regular member…) in January 1973. That lil’ ol’ band from Texas, ZZ Top was the opening act.
