It's absolutely, positively true that you tell bad jokes...

It's probably true that you were deflecting.

You need to slow down & think Brew as

If it's absolutely true that the the only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth, than that's 2.

1. There is no absolute truth.
2. the above statement is absolutely true.

I could extrapolate countless absolute truths from this one knowledge claim alone.

You see, by saying there are no absolute truths you immediately reduce yourself to an absurdity.

Could you be wrong about everything you think you know?

If there are no absolute truths you can't know anything. Not even that!

The fact that you do know things exposes that you do know that God exists but are stealing your foundation for knowledge from Him.

I steal nothing sir.

And the statement that “the only absolute truth is that there is no absolute truth” is in fact its own logic loop. No need for additional statements.

As I wrote earlier, any line of logic followed too far loops back on itself and looses meaning. And so we see that all statements of absolutes are wrong - given an alternate point of view.

Truth is relative sir.

Now your truth may have been revealed to you by Jehovah, Allah, or Christ. And may it serve you well. But it is your truth, not everyones.

Oh, and yes. Everything WE think could be wrong.
To not admit so would be arrogance.

Yeah... It was probably a mistake to go down this path...

I knew somehow I would just be left scratching my head wondering how we got so far as a species.

Stealing from God? That's quite an accusation to make.

On a somewhat related note...

Just got done watching Lucifer. That's one of my favorite shows all time.

So I do enjoy the lore of it all, especially if presented with a new twist to make it fresh.

If you have not seen Lucifer DG, I would highly recommend it.

Well that's a truth. You steal nothing when you admit you could be wrong about everything you think you know.

You see when you do that your consistent. Your agnostic = without knowledge
& your without knowledge because you're Atheist = without God

So just stop making knowledge claims & I won't call you out for borrowing from my worldview without asking.

I feel your red letters counselor
Nice touch.

So I'll rephrase for the court

Strike the original from the record

Replace it with: Borrowing from my worldview without permission

So, even when you mince words, your view of the world is that he stole from God, huh? Quite a damning statement to make.

The only damning statement he's making is robbing himself of the personal relationship with God. He's free to make all the stupid comments he wants about it. He's only hurting himself.

In San Francisco we wouldn’t prosecute for stealing from God.

Well Ben, you started down this path because you're searching for something that, somewhere deep inside you know you have suppressed. You're created to Glorify your Maker & enjoy Him forever.
Sure Satan p.k.a Lucifer is alluring. He drew away a third of the cherubim with him in rebellion. How much easier is it for him to deceive a puffed up pleasure slave like yourself.

As Brew has stated the correct question is the thing.

I asked you previously what your foundation for knowledge was & you agreed with me that you, like most, have never thought about it.

Could you be wrong about everything you think you know like brew confessed?

My original statement that it amounts to stealing from God must be reinstated into the record.
(Despite the red letters) which were prejudicial and must be stricken from the record
On the grounds of the creation which implies ownership & purchase price after the fact.
In redemption paid in full
Anybody who denies their Creator His Glory due is by definition

STEALING

Ah, I thought this might come.

I am not an atheist, you punk.
I would say have some respect, but not in your play book, eh?

And your openly demonstrated arrogance towards those who do not hold with your “absolute truths” is noted.

For what it is worth, it must be a terrible burden being the only one who knows the “truth”.

Such is the price of zealotry…….

You're right... I'm a hobbyist that searches for truth... my books (plural) are significantly different than your book (singular).

As far as you asking me what my foundation was... huh?

I'm a software engineer with a computer science degree. They don't exactly hand those out in crackerjack boxes.

I study math and physics as a hobby. Kinda like yours I guess with out all the fantastical stories and about as dry as an old hooker's snatch to boot.

And to say I said I never thought about what exactly? My foundation of knowledge... lmfao, where you get this sh*t?

Don't gaslight me... low functioning sociopathic tricks don't work on me.

Brew, no condemnation from me.

My sincere apologies for the misunderstanding.
I thought you were a self professed Atheist.

Very sorry, bourbon was involved in my previous posts.

Ben, I can find the quote where your reply was that you admitted you've never thought about your basis of truth.

In context as I recall though you mentioned some philosophy classes in college.

Protagorus for example a pre-socratic philosopher that alot of modern atheists base their epistemology in famously said
"man is the measure of all things"

I'm not asking you your education or skill set when I ask your basis of knowledge.

How do you know anything is the question.

Descartes said "I think therefore I am"

If you asked me the speed on a given road and I said "I think it's 45 mph"
Do I know it's 45mph?

I'd need to pass a current posted mph sign before I knew. Then I'd need to remember it.

So does Descartes know he is?

I tell you he does but not because he thinks.

What he was saying was I think therefore I AM

Only because of the self existent omniscience of the I Am can man (created in His moral image) know anything at all.

Neither do I condemn you Ben, pardon the spirit of my previous posts. I was buzzing preeety gooood. Sorry

as for Descartes, I've always interpreted that famous quote to mean that being able to think proves he exists.

The rest of this recurring debate has been yet another waste of ink.

I think I've said many times in one form or another that I believe in a mathematical universe.

Here it is again:

I Believe the universe exists, it has a wave function, the wave function obeys the Schrödinger equation.

That's what I believe.

I guess if you want to look up some "prophets" of my "faith" if you will... Max Tegmark and Sean Carroll would be two of it's biggest current proponents.

Unfortunately, there's no savior that manifests itself in the mathematics (no... 'e' and 'pi' do not appear to be divine, but if you add 'i' in the mix, I guess you get a trinity)...

The ability to experience this wonderful universe we live in is glorious enough... The here, the now... that is the miracle... not what lies ahead.

Why do so many people put so much time worrying about what's going to happen when they die and so little time focused on enjoying the now is beyond my comprehension.

It does not compute.
