Just curious... how many of you smoke alone most of the time? A lot of the guys in my family used to smoke cigars. My dad smoked with me when he was still living. He loved cigars as much as I do. I started smoking cigars about 50 yeas ago. I'm 65 now, and I still love to herf 'em down. I had a couple of friends that I would smoke with, but that was years ago. When my dad passed away 6 years ago, my brother and nephew started to vape. Which is something I've never really understood. No offense meant to anyone, if that's your thing. To each his own. I just prefer to smoke something natural, as opposed to a chemical concoction that smells like kool-aid. Once every couple of months or so, I'll catch a smoke with my son-in-law who also loves cigars. Besides him, and my son whom I only see on rare occasions because he lives in another state, it's just me and my sticks. What about you?

Basically the same for me. Wifey hates the smell, son isn’t really into it unless he’s golfing with some cigar smoking friends and SIL only on NYE with his family. Except for a nephew coming over once or twice a year, I smoke solo out in our garage. Haven’t smoked anywhere else since going to Casa Fuente in October 2019 with Delta, Whistle and HOnizuka.

The title of this thread reminded me of spam. Thought I was going to get a pitch for a mail-order Russian bride to keep me company while I'm smoking.

I smoke alone(ish) about half the time. When the weather allows I go into the backyard and smoke. Wifey joins me most nights, at least for a while. She smokes clove cigarettes and watches Instgram videos while I smoke and read a book. In the winter, I'm in my office, more alone time, with the window open and a fan in it. I smoke smaller cigars in the winter. Boo hoo!

Don't get that many chances to herf with other cigar smokers. Usually smoke with friends on July 4th, but they're not regular smokers.

I mostly smoke cigars alone, while watching sports in the man cave, a converted one car garage.

I occasionally smoke with my son and/or SIL when they are visiting, or when I'm visiting them. We often fish and vacation together, and will enjoy cigars during those trips.

On those occasions when we have a large gathering or friends from CBid, I'll smoke with any and all my guests who care for cigars.

At least every other Friday with about 30 other dudes & the occasional better half but other than that Mrs G will sit & discuss the day with me.
Unless the yard is full of family.
My neighbor used to always have a cigar with me but he's got a pace maker now.
So now I always feel bad smoking in front of him.
He's always so enthusiastic about what I'm smoking
I always say I'm not offering so just ask
He always says no,no thanks you enjoy

I don’t go out to the garage till 8 pm HST at the earliest so pretty much assume it’s too late to contact anyone other than maybe some West Coast braddahs.

When we gather in LV, you and Z gonna run a seminar or two about the reach around and the secret thumb move?

Asking for a friend. Anxious

Usually smoke alone in the garage office/mancave. My MIL is on O2 so I have been restricted to smoking in the garage.

memorable weekend with you and Palama, Bro...looking forward to the next Las Vegas herf...

I've enjoyed every occasion when I've herfed with a CBid bro...MACS most frequently, while fishing or kicking back in his backyard or my backyard, or on a fishing trip in Ventura...Opel a few times at a nice cigar lounge during his visits to SoCal and while fishing at Morro Bay a couple times along with MACS, Abrignac, Drafter and Victor... ZRX while he was in SoCal on pandemic business...all enjoyable occasions...proves that the polarizing corrosion of politics doesn't define us...

I do, most of the time, a consequence of working 3rd shift. Usually get to hang with my son and my big bro on Saturdays, that's the only time I have someone to smoke with.

In the last 18 years I have been lucky enough to have smoked with about 40 brothers and sisters from this forum at least once. Most of the time it's alone on the patio.

I work from home and don't live near any of my friends that smoke so almost always alone. Few times a year my FIL will have one if we are out camping or sitting by the firepit but he gets a lot of flack from my MIL. Annual camping trip with some buddies for poker and smokes in November but other then that... alone.

Since I smoke alone at least 98.2% of the time, I try to find things to do while I’m outside in my garage. Surfing the internet, reading the newspaper or a book, playing a game or two on my iPad, etc. In the last couple of months I’ve been listening to audiobooks to not only help pass the time but to also help me “read” books a bit faster. Whenever possible, I get both the hard and electronic copies. Our library system has a pretty good selection of digital media so I borrow rather than purchase. The combination of the mediums is a nice mix. Read when I can immerse myself in the book, listen when I want to chill outside but keep the momentum going.

85% of the time I smoke alone while reading, watching sports, or listening to music. Other 15% is split between the occasional visit to the lounge or my FIL swinging by to have a smoke, or my wife and daughter sitting out with me by the fire while I smoke.

I smoke alone when nobody else is around. Lol. My preference is to have company, but alone is better than not at all.

I've had the pleasure of torching a few with roughly 20 or so brothers and sisters from the forum, DED being one of them. Now I smoke 2-4 a month and usually on the golf course with my son in law.

I also smoke almost exclusively alone, outside in the backyard, or while on fishing and camping trips.

For me smoking a cigar is a contemplative experience.

That being said, I will sometimes smoke with my old high school buddies on the rare occasions that I see them. They are also the ones who got me into cigar smoking in the first place.

More cows than people where I live, so mostly I smoke alone outside at home unless my HS buddy shows up for a smoke and drink or I drive 100 miles and have a drink and smoke with him.

Years in the retail record business will do that to you, plus being the audio specialist for awhile when I was at Sony. ‘Course there is a limit, mid-60s to late 80s is my sweet spot.

Okay, one more:

I don’t necessarily like the song but, the synergy of Travolta and the music makes that opening scene so iconic.
