I just got my first shipment, ever, from Cigarbid, and I was very very pleased with everything except one lot of Victor Sinclair cigars. The five pack had three cigars that had tiny holes in them....I heard someone refer to these holes as beetle holes??

Any advice? Is this considered damage goods? Will Cigarbid take them back, issue a credit, or what?

Any advice on how to proceed will be appreciated.

Thanx

Cigarhound,

Thanx for the comment. I have a question, as this is my first experience with this kind of thing. I assume that the holes were created sometime after the cigar was rolled....and I also assume that the beatle is not in the cigar (hey I'm a city boy, who got transplanted to the south (Nashville), the only insects I really know a lot about are roaches)....oh..my question:

Is it okay to store these cigars with my other good cigars?? Or will they pose a threat to the others.

(okay, calm down and reply after you stop laughing)

I'll advise you to click on the "Customer Service" link when opening Cigarbid. Tell them about your problem (instead of ranting 'bout it here), and I'm pretty much sure they will come up with an more than acceptable solution to your problem. The folks af CI have an outatanding service towards their customers. - Good luck.

To Hanson:

Who's ranting? I simply asked for some advice, being new to all of this. I have sent an email to cigarbid's customer service dept and feel certain, given their good reputation, that I will be taken care of.

As far as I am concerned, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.

my understanding is that most cigars have eggs in them ,but they hatch only if it is too moist or too hot. my advice is pitch the ones with holes. or if you're patient stick them in a freezer for 3 or 4 days to kill any that remain. call me callous but I had good luck doing this and they smoked fine.

Excuse me for maybe expressing myself badly. I can understand that "ranting" may have a "harder" meaning than my intention was. Being Danish, I sometimes use wrong expressions or words, therefore "hurting" people. This is not my intension. What I ment (here I maybe go again) was, it seems more obvious to ask Customer Service than to place ones Q in a forum. - OK? Friends?

Apparently, asking questions on the board that are best suited for Customer Services has been a long standing tradition.
