Think Not talking Shame on you d'oh!

I say NO FREAKIN' WAY IN H3LL...

ALL THESE KIDS ASPIRING IN THEATRE SCHOOL, MUSICAL PERFOrMANCES, TRAVELING SHOWS,
Music industry, traveling bands of any type of music, big shows in Las Vegas, theatre districts in NYC/ LONDON/..
ORCHESTRA MUSICAINS, stage hands, sound and lighting peeps, set designers, choreographers, directors ..ON AND ON AND ON...

I WOULD TELL MY KID...UNLESS you are in the top 3% of all musicians or performers...choose another vocation as soon as possible...

People always need food, housing, schools,
Cars, sundries, financials/ banking etc.
Etc....

These will always pay you a salary and keep you alive....these performing ARTS JOBS ARE GOING ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE QUICKLY...

it's a big business and makes big money, and the actual performers barely make anything...as long as the money is there, the Performing Arts will be there...can you imagine Las Vegas without performing arts?

imho

Covid -19 and the endless variants coming down the Pike every year...year after year ...will be the death knell for the performing arts...

I dunno...pro sports is a form of performing arts, and they've figured out how to thrive with COVID...

I think there's a basic human need to be entertained...and among some...to entertain...(of which you're a prime example)

I don't think it's ever been a high percentage career path as far as security goes. Talent and skill don't guarantee success. Prior success doesn't guarantee future success. I applaud those with the guts to give it a shot

The entertainment industry isn't going anywhere though. There's too much money to be made by agencies, production companies, etc.
