In another thread I noted that, along with one of my standby's - CC Party Shorts - I grabbed a lot of the CC Partagas Chicos from a certain trusted site.

These are machine-made little cigarillos and most sites I looked at said they were great-tasting, with true CC flavor, in a 20 min smoke. So for $104 for 100 of the little suckers (including shipping) I thought I would take a chance.

First off, the shipping. I ordered these on Jan 24 and they arrived in Mid-Missouri on Feb 7 via Deutsche Post standard shipping. Amazing. That is the fastest I have ever received an international shipment of, ahem, this type of product.

As to the taste, the reviews were spot-on. If you are a CC smoker you will really appreciate how much great Partagas CC flavor is in such a small package. Only so much physical smoke, of course, in something this size, but they are, nonetheless, very, very good. Even the aftertaste, that lingers quite a while after you finish one, is incredible.

As for 20 minutes -- well that is pushing it just a bit. With something this small there is going to be a lot of variance on how people smoke them, how many puffs and how hard you draw on them, etc, but for me, outside and with a slight breeze I am getting a good solid 15 min. with no issue at all.

After that, if you are willing to be careful how you hold it so as not to burn your fingers and don't mind looking like you are toking on the last bit of a joint, you can get a couple min. more. So far one did just barely get to the 20 min mark but 17-18 is more like it for the others I have had. It sounds strange timing them down to such a level, but 2 min is 10% of review-mentioned smoke time!

The good thing, as the things do burn down to a "roach," the smoke stays nice and cool. Still the same flavor, never harsh, but do watch out for your fingers! And with the nice aftertaste, you can wait a bit before you feel the urge to fire up another one.

In short, these may be the perfect quick, winter, smoke for when you want a fix but you have to go outside in the cold and snow. Likewise, if you work with a place that still has short coffee/smoke breaks throughout the day, this would be just right for that. And at a $1 per smoke, that is hard to beat -- unless you want to stick with Pall-Malls.....
