A lot cheaper to just stuff one down your shorts when the waitress isn’t looking. Cool

looks like a fancy water dish for Tank...doubt that MACS would spend that kinda coin on one...

Well, when MACS is not using it as an ashtray, he can fill it up with water for Tank so its a multi-purpose item.

In the early months of my smoking addiction, I used an old aluminum pie pan as my ashtray. Then one day, my Brother-from-another-Mother, Youngra, sent TWO Stinky Single ashtrays for my smoking experience pleasure. I still use one of them on a daily basis and have the other one stashed away.

There used to be a fella called “Hmhaines” (Harvey) who made ashtrays from railroad ties or any other scrap metal that was laying around his shop, the Purple Barn. He sent me one that must be about 10” x 4” x 2” and easily weigh close to 15 lbs.! I think, if he wanted to, he could have sold his ashtrays as a regular item but it seemed like he gifted or traded them here instead. Harvey was a good guy, miss him.

That sounds very cool. I actually won a 4 finger Stinky (take that how you will) on here for just over $20. Picture made it look smaller. I need to start a NWI herf so I can finally use the dang thing

He made one for me, in a trade. It is a 4.25 inches square, 1.25 inches tall, with a cigar rest on one corner. The metal he used to fabricate this beast is 5/16th inch thick. It weighs about a pound. Bulletproof. It is my everyday solo herf tray.

I also won an auction for an ashtray that tmctlt/Paul made. It is 11 inches square and 2 inches tall. Each side has a cigar rest notched in the middle. He used a hard wood, possibly walnut. The bottom is a mosaic of cigar bands covered with glass. It really is a work of art. I use it when there are a few of us herfing in the man cave.

Harvey had a great yet brief career posting here.
He was in CT and I invited him to a MAHole Herf, he couldn't make it but that woulda been a great addition.
IIRC, he followed his fiancee to Minnesota and they broke up soon after settling there.

The Purple Barn! What a great memory. That dude could turn anything into a special keepsake or jewelry etc.
