What’s your favorite brand of Cigars?

To expound - what is your favorite brand of cigars? The brand that, irrespective of blend, size, limited edition, not limited edition, shape, you know that it’ll be an awesome smoke.

For me, it is AVO. No matter which ‘model,’ size, shape, price, I know that it’ll be awesome.

Given the limited amount of cigars I’ve smoked, I would say “none”. However, from the brands I’ve had, if you’re looking from the top to the bottom, I’d lean towards Padron. They’re the most consistent as far as construction and taste is concerned, regardless of blend or vitola. With that being said, I haven’t yet, tried any LE from Padron other than the Family Reserve #45. Have a couple more recent LE that were RAOK’d from Delta but I’m salting them away for special occasions.

Given these parameters I have to agree with #3. While I do prefer many Fuentes/LFDs over Padrons, some of their budget offerings are not great IMO. From top to bottom, the Padron lineup is consistently good...can’t think of another cigar company that I would say that about. I'm still searching though...

I’ll go with Opel’s list as well.
Tatuaje is one I might kick off the list only because they have too many mediocre cigars in their portfolio imo...........but of course they have lots of good ones as well.............so, they stay on list.

So, I love LFD, but, to me, the entire line is similar.

I also like AF, but some a really, really like and others are just okay.

Agree - Padron is up there, but AVO, for me, is consistent top to bottom, the annual Limited Editions are awesome and they have a wide array of profiles.

I don't know that I'd say similar, but i think all the brands listed have their own unique profile that tends to shine through on each blend they make... Fuente especially is one that I always feel like I know I'm smoking a Fuente... It's got that distinct Fuente profile...

I think avo is the same... They typically produce decent quantities of very dry, one dimensional smoke... It's a good dimension, and I have a soft spot for avo, but I put it nowhere near the top of the heap... Avo is basically just a better perdomo...

Agree with many of whats been listed. Like a lot of Eiroa's blends, Asylum in particular. Not a ton of blends but currently digging Southern Draw

Hmm, turns out I can't just pick one favorite

I love AF and Tatuaje but like you said, some I really, really like / love, others just another cigar. Haven’t experienced enough of AVO, Illusione and LFD to have any sort of opinion.

I really like Ashtons, but I don’t smoke them as much - I probably have 10 Ashton sticks and 10 BOXES of various AVOs so I smoke them more often

I thoroughly enjoy the rougher maduros.

The Diesel UHC, Unltd Maduro, d.10th, Ave Maria Argentum, MOW Damnation and Ruination(not maduro, I know), San Lotano maduros. Basically AJ's stuff. With all of the samplers I've tried, I keep being led in this direction.
I have yet to foray into the premiere brand arena and I am very interested to do so, but I am enjoying what I'm currently smoking as well. So I guess my brand pick would be MOW, because I haven't had one yet that I haven't enjoyed.

I imagine my palate will become more refined with time. We'll see...

Enjoy them while you can... Your palate may or may not change... Worst thing I ever did was smoke a tat 7th capa especial... Ruined a lot of cheaper cigars for me...

I may be wrong but I have always considered Ashton to be part of the Fuente Family and that is why I didn't mention them specifically. That being said my favorite cigar for the last 10 or so years has been the VSG...….I bounce back and forth between the Illusion and the CG.I currently have a box of each...….and still cannot make my mind up which I like best.

The ESG is also a favorite but too damn pricey for me.

I agree with the brands mentioned already: most offerings are really good, along with some so-so ones and maybe one or two kinda bad...

I would include Crowned Heads: La Careme, Las Calaveras, Jericho Hill, Headley Grange, JD Howard, Four Kicks.... are all quality smokes ...their latest, La Imperiosa, didn't light my fire, though...

I originally posted this because most of the time I know what I want before opening the humidor. When I don't know what I want, I rummage around and more often than not, I have an AVO in my hand.

I smoked a Miami on the 4th. I really enjoyed it. I may have to look into more of their offerings.

Haven't found it yet. Closeset is maybe Cuban H Upmann - smoke a number of Crowned Heads and Roma Craft every week, but they both make plenty of cigars that I can't call awesome

Now I want to try it, but I think I'll wait for a while.
Don't wanna turn my stock into garbage until I've gone through most of it.

It's not the most amazing cigar in the world... Just the one that happened to open my eyes... Had a cooler of around 350 dog rockets at that point...

While I love everything from a few of the brands already mentioned, I haven't seen anyone mention Espinosa yet. I admit, still new to the brand, but have tried about 5-7 different sticks and every one has been amazing. Reasonable prices too.

After almost 3 years since my original post and narrowing down my favorite smokes, I’mma change and say it’s Fuente. There are more Fuentes in my inventory than any other brand but given the Fuente depth and broad lines, my favorites are in a more vertical silo - Hemingways, Anejos, Casa Cuba Divine Inspiration, Magnum R44 and OX. Its helped that I was able to amass the bulk of my Fuente collection before MAP or super lucky and came across crazy deals (…e.g., R44s for $4.02 each!…).

I won’t ever turn down a chance to smoke a Padron but given their higher prices for even the 1000-series, have saved them for special occasions.
