Stones. The Rolling Stones. I like Tom Petty more, but based on the options, it’s the Stones.

Tony on the other hand is a bitter and petty little man who has attacked me since an incident on the vherf 2 years ago.It was just myself,Opie and Tony.My comment was democrats would never let racism go...its their hole card.Since then I am a hater,a racist and any other dispicable tag he can throw at me.I happen to know that most here are jokesters just like me and we joust In jist and have for years.Tony missed the message about jousting in fun.Tony just needs some of his own medicine occasionally and will receive it until he learns how not to poke the bear.

You just like to kick something that kicks back once in a while, and my (thanks to Bucky) rep as being a stoned out rambler which I have embraced here in pride... can kick back like a champ.

I get it... and I appreciate the banter! It's fun... and remember... I can spit out paragraphs waiting for my coffee to brew... I type ~ 100 wpm.

Let’s say what you are saying about TGraz is 100% true- for the sake of our exchange. We both well know there are three sides to every story. And if Opie was there, there are four sides to the story.

Tony could very easily make a post next explaining his version of the event and characterize you and everything about you which would be equally unfavorable about you. Where does that get us?

I couldn’t provide any specific examples (which I admit would be helpful) but I do know I’ve crossed swords with you, Tony, Opie and about five hundred other people here- 55,000+ posts over 17+ years and unmeasurable barrels of alcohol in the rear view mirror, I couldn’t tell you for sure). I couldn’t tell you what 98.2% of them were about. My most recent one that is in the 1.2% is a series of moderately brutal exchanges of bombs with Opie.

Opie was 100% wrong and I was 100% right. At least in the heat of the moment\day and for at least two weeks after the latest of the exchanges of shots.

After those two weeks (maybe I was still locked on and ready to blow him up some more for another week or two) I decided to take a step back and see if I could pull anything positive about the exchanges.

Next, I poured myself a cup of Humilty, went into Introspective Mode to see what points he had (and he did) on how I might do things differently. Both going forward and if I could go back, what would I do differently. I apologized to him on a vherf for some of the extra-crispy flamethrower shots I delivered and said i would work to be better. He was kind, accepted the apology and admitted he wasn’t an angel either. We’ve seen each other on a couple of e herfs since then and have been cordial with each other. You could almost say Friendly. I no longer hold Ill,will toward him. Hope he feels similarly.

You are a Texan and I think a Christian. Foregiveness and being more Christlike is what we should aspire to. I fail more often than I am successful, but I keep trying.

I’d like you to try not only with Tony, but with everyone.

For the people here where there is a mutual understanding and respect, do poke and joust. That is much of the fun here.

For those other people, why feed into the bitterness? Why keep fighting the old war?

Since I’ve asked for a reset, BGZ has showed the more restraint, patience and kindness than you and Tony. Tony has actually been kinder than you (which has surprised me, but maybe that was my bias coming in because I have fought with him MUCH more often than you and I have ever tangled).

Not sure about this (somebody here let me know if I’m wrong about this). Think Tony is Jewsish.
By my score card, the Jewish guy is being more Christian than the Texan Christian.

I like you a lot, Ron. Prayed for you almost every night when your life was in the balance, you couldn’t get the care you needed when you wanted because Covid was franking up your appointments. I would say every night, but am sure I forgot some nights. Maybe I need to start again and hope your heart softens and you can let the bitterness go.

There’s 15 minutes of one finger typing I won’t get back in my life. If it makes things better, every peck is worth it.

It wasn't a waste of time.............thanks

There is no one in my real life like Tony.........are there people I detest due to their lazy azz ways and entitled attitudes, yes I think we all have those.I live in a small town everyone knows these ingrates and most share my opinion.

For what it's worth I'll go here with you simply because of your effort exerted here.If Tony can obstain from calling me a hater and a racist I can ignore him,if he cannot control himself ...........GAME ON!!! I'm not putting up with that bullschit from anyone

BTW I truly am sorry for all this bs in this thread...............NOW ROCK ON MUTHAFUQQAS

A writer I had back in the day was talkin' some sh*t about how fast she was (she was faster than any secretary)...

Yeah, I kicked her azz. I was the undefeated champ of the office, nobody could type faster...

I attribute it to all the years of talking sh*t on the internet... mainly in video games of course.

I saw the Kinks live at the old Brenden Byrne Arena in East Rutheford NJ back in '83. They were good but I agree with you, they're not in the same league as Zeppelin. Now - I'll tell you - one of the best concerts I ever saw was at the Byrne Arena and it was Queen in '82. They were simply amazing live!

Hawaii used to be a favorite destination for artists, either as the last stop or the start of an Asia-Pacific tour. These days with the elaborate stage and lighting setups, too expen$ive to come here for just one or 2 shows.

The last big show I attended here was the Stones in ‘98 at the Aloha Stadium (Bridges to Babylon) but they played a private show on Maui a couple days earlier so we got a bit lucky that time.

As far as Jimi goes, it was a good but imo, not a great concert. Early on he played a few songs from what would be “Cry of Love” and didn’t seem to be too into it (…and neither was the crowd…). The 2nd half was his older, familiar stuff but he seemed to be going through the motions and almost seemed bored. We sat in the loges slightly behind stage right, his side, and at one point when he broke a string, violently tossed his white Strat to the roadie…and he looked pissed when he threw it. So yah, probably my most memorable show but not in my top concerts.

define "greatest"...

if you include longevity and body of work, it's no contest...all three bands exceeded the 60's and 70's and their music still stands and is played today...

but it's no contest if you think of them collectively and individually...Led Zeppelin and the Stones have not done much creatively since their first decade...The Beatles as solo artists kept going, out front of several waves...

as a kid, I liked in order: Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and then The Beatles (music had to be loud and pulsating)...The Beatles were considered a "girls band" because they seemed to attract mostly young teen girl crowds to their early concerts, most of their early music was sugary pop that girls dug and most of my guy friends sneered at the good looking mop-haired funny sounding Brits...tbh, we all liked American group CCR better...

then I grew up and my definition of "music" expanded and so did the creativity of the Beatles (group and solo)...

my appreciation for the Beatles' accomplishments, in toto, put them at the top of that list now...

Ran across this and I musta missed Al's post but was rather surprised that U2 is second...and totally aghast that ABBA made the Top 10.

I really shouldn't have been that surprised about ABBA. Back in my retail record store days, they were quite popular. And, knowing they were already popular in Europe before hitting it big in the US, should have accounted for that too.
