A few weeks ago, my Brother-from-another-Mother, Youngra / Rick and I agreed upon a trade. Prior to sending, Terms and Conditions had to be negotiated and a blood promise had to be sworn to keep his address under wraps. In other words, don’t ask me to drive a bus (…Tuck hates bus drivers…).
I sent first (…yes, I know, a nOOb mistake…) and realizing my stupid mistake
, started to dig my bomb shelter in our back yard.
Last week Wednesday the 2nd, an ICBM launched from a secret missile silo somewhere in the hills of South Dakota delivered its payload upon our humble abode. Well, actually, it landed squarely on our mailbox and blew it to smithereens. Luckily my wife and I were putting the finishing touches to our bomb shelter so escaped any bodily damage. Whew!
After the all-clear signal, we emerged from our underground safe haven. I spied what looked like an unexploded warhead and pulled it away from the rubble. It wasn’t a warhead but I had to use a crowbar to pry open the heavy metal box. Inside were oodles of goodies AND 20 wonderful cigars plus a nice note describing many of the items.
The goodies:
Big bag of Dot’s Homestyle Pretzel Twists (Original seasoning) – nh but damn GOOD!
Aberdeen, South Dakota coffee cup – perfect size for my usual two cups of coffee every morning
South Dakota mini license plate refridge magnet
Chainsaw Art by Chad koozie
Aberdeen plastic shot cup
South Dakota plastic “Shotgun Shell Shooter” shot cup
6 different Aberdeen / South Dakota key holder / fobs
His and Hers retractable bear claw(?) backscratchers – one is blue, one is red and when extended, about 3’ in length
(5x) South Dakota tourist attraction post cards – iffin’ I ever get to visit all those spots, I won’t need to visit the gift shop
(10x) Aberdeen / South Dakota stickers – all different shapes and sizes
Various South Dakota tour attraction flyers, pamphlets, handbooks and visitor guidebooks – will definitely help us plan a trip
The smokes:
Camacho Corojo Nacionales (OR) – love these!
Camacho Corojo Petit (OR) – ditto
Camacho Triple Maduro Robusto (OR) – my favorite Camacho blend and vitola
Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic Black Toro 1950 (2x) – nh
Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 Coronet (2x) – great for when the temps go below 70 degrees
La Flor Dominicana Coronado Hammer (2x) – I missed out on the group buy many moons ago so these will be savored
