“Sanders and his wife, Jane O'Meara Sanders, own three houses: a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home in Burlington, which they bought for $405,000 in 2009; a row house in D.C., which they picked up for $489,000 in 2007; and a vacation home north of Burlington, which the Sanders bought for $575,000 in cash, shortly after the Senator ended his 2016 campaign.”

When I’m up there, I’m just thinking that I’ve got to make them laugh or they won’t show up next time.

net worth is like 3 million or so, making him maybe the poorest member of the Senate.
His wife had a salary in the low six figures for several years and he made a chunk of his money on book royalties after becoming more widely well known.
Not sure if there is anything suspicious happening here.

I think what's suspicious is he doesn't "pay his fair share" to the gubment, which for a good commie like him should be a 99% Marxist Income Tax.

Socialists are not supposed to be worth $3 million.

Maybe he’s not really a socialist after all.

If I get married I get a tax break, if I have a kid I get a tax break, if I get a mortgage I get a tax break. I don’t have any kids and I drive a hybrid, I think I should get a tax break. I’m trying to pay off my apartment so I have something tangible. I actually figured out if I paid off my place my reward would be that I would pay an extra four grand a year in taxes.

Reminds me of guys living with or married to Korean bar hostesses or owners. They would ALWAYS find paper bags of money hidden away all throughout their homes.
