Looked like an open handed slap to me. Will thought the joke was funny and laughed, but then his wife rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath and the next thing you know this cuck walks up on stage. Not sure why he wasn’t tossed, and sure as shyt wins an award and people applaud him as if somehow he’s a victim.

These shows all suck and was only watching because they kept hyping up the 50th anniversary of The Godfather and I wanted to see it. They got about 45 underwhelming seconds. They even eventually cut the deaf guys speech but kept letting the Fresh Princess ramble on and on and on…

Pretty funny. I wasn't watching but after having seen the video I have to agree - it certainly looked like Will Smith was laughing until his husband made a comment to him. Then he rushes the stage and slaps Chris Rock (wasn't even a punch). Though I do give Chris Rock credit for taking the hit and being like ... "dude- wtf???"

Heard about it on, of all things, sports radio, while driving to pick up dinner. Don't remember who the two radio guys were but they brought up the possibility of the incident being staged. When I watched the clip, it did make me kinda wonder if it was, indeed, scripted.

Anyone else think it was more fake than real? Think

I thought it was staged but when you see the Fresh Princess barking about keeping his wife’s name out your f#$@in mouth twice you can clearly tell he was serious. It would’ve been nice to see him try that on someone not 1/2 his size and get smacked right back, so kudos to Chris Rock for rolling with the punches and not missing a beat. Good thing they banned Kanye to keep the nonsense out…

Will seems like more a PG-13 type actor to me, he could’ve screamed minus the F bombs, gotten his point across and stayed in his lane. I saw it on youtube. Had two thoughts.

(1) Will Smith can't take a joke.

(2) Will Smith can't throw a punch. BigGrin

I thought it was staged too, but I agree, Will seemed really pissed when he sat down and started yelling.

Def a slap and not a punch. I still think it was staged for 2 reasons. first is that Smith wasn't escorted out after it happened ala Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine being escorted from the VMAs and then the second is the one clip i watched 1 time ( didn't need to see this non news a second time) was that will seemed to be fighting back a bit of a smile/laugh when he sat back down. i could be wrong and dont really care either way. Rock declined to press charges so it is now a non issue. if it wasn't staged then smith should not have been allowed to receive his award later in the show and should never be allowed back to the event but... Hollywood does its own thing...

And somehow they thought the earlier joke about there open marriage (just one sided obviously) was funny as well. Will the Cuck is not a real man anymore, guess sitting back while your wife shags your kids friend and then rubs your nose in it on her live show wasn’t enough, but a joke about a buzzcut was. And while she does claim she has alone is that yes that is a buzzcut, done by her choice. Her loss is a thin line that with a full head would not be noticeable, but she choices to chop it all off.

Assuming the whole thing wasn't staged - then yes - I'd say it is certainly plausable that CR had no idea about her 'condition.' No body I know (even people that I know that follow celebrity crap) had ever heard about her having it.
