All in the Family... bestest sitcom ever.

Great cast, great characters, and crossed so many boundaries. It would never be allowed to be on TV in today's environment. I don't think modern days folks could see past the symbolism that each character played. Norman Lear pushed the boundaries that we are not allowed to even touch nowadays without the risk of being canceled. Religion, politics, racism, union workers vs business, sexuality... Archie was the brunt of all that "controversial" stuff wrapped into one character to an extreme in order to make a point.

Can you imagine if shows like All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Good Times, Maude, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time were to try to get on TV nowadays. It would never happen.

Not tying to be political, just talking about pop culture (kinda sad that I have to justify that with a disclaimer so some folks don't get wrapped around the axle)

Curious if the recent rage quit dude will surface again. I bet it's eating him inside to not post. An ego like his sits on his shoulder barking at him to jump in until he's able to detox from C-bid

Yep. You know he’s watching.
A narcissist like that cannot possibly resist.

It’s getting me moist just thinking about it…

Drifting off topic, this thread is about the COVId thingy.

We are all destined to die from it especially if you haven't masked up and received the last antiviral update. Maybe they can time it with Microsoft's monthly security patch. All we need is to implant a USB port into our arm and get the injection while the latest security update is being downloaded.

We should also give the big phama a ton of cash so they can work on how to disperse the "cure" in a vapor form through the HVAC systems in all pubic and private establishments. That would be really cool.

Not to pull this thread off topic,
But I had some really good smoked ribs today.

You like ribs???

I could go for a rack of ribs right about now.

But if I had some left over ribs they wouldn't last past, say, 9 AM my time. I live with and help take care of an autistic kid (that's not fair to call him a kid, he's 31 yrs old but trapped in a 12 yr old mind and according to the "classification" of Autism he's a level 2 - that's a topic of discussion for another day. The Franking kid is Rainman when it comes to certain topics)

Anyhoo, Steven loves ribs. Don't matter what kind... spare ribs, baby back ribs, St Louis style ribs, short ribs... When I make them, no matter what kind, the are no leftovers except for a few he saves for his lunch the following day.

Fiddy NINE!

Huh... now ol' MACS wasn't so nutty after all, eh?

Been singing it from the rooftop from the get go. We've been had. In a major, major way... and eventually the lies get exposed. I just hope it continues, but the lemmings ain't even bothering to read the reports from the pharmaceutical companies that they wanted to hide for 75 years.

Really. They wanted to hide that data for 75 years and NOBODY is suspicious as to WHY???

I heard the incoherent demented Maskhole in Chief is disappointed that a Florida federal judge trumped his mask mandate and airlines are starting to back off on enforcement.

Airports, airlines across US begin to drop mask mandates after court ruling

By Patrick Reilly
April 18, 2022

Quote:
Travelers were celebrating across the country Monday as airports and airlines dropped their mask requirements after a Florida federal judge voided the Biden administration’s mask mandate for planes, trains and buses.

But confusion also accompanied the enthusiasm as some airports, airlines and transportation agencies had yet to announce whether they would continue to enforce the mandate — or confirm that masks are still required.

Following the judge’s ruling, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines all relaxed their mask policies for customers, crew and workers.

“Feels good to be flying the moment the mask mandate was lifted. People are literally celebrating at this airport,” Darrin Smith tweeted Monday night.

United and Delta lifted the mask requirement for all domestic flights. United also said the change in policy would apply to “select international flights” while Delta said masks would also be optional on “most international flights.”

…and so it begins.

SAN FRANCISCO – As COVID-19 case rates rise, health officers in the Bay Area on Friday again urged people to take precautions, including the wearing of masks indoors.

In a statement signed by health officers in all nine Bay Area counties, along with Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties and the City of Berkeley, urged people to mask up indoors, keep tests handy and ensure they are up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations.
