Man, I remember when DiMarizo was a small brand in the late ‘70s and they had only a small amount of offerings for Strats and Les Pauls. My buddy, Chris, had just bought his Blonde 3-bolt neck Strat (…the Lowell George look…) but it sounded so tinny. I bought a Super Distortion for him for Christmas and he got it installed in, iirc, the middle position. Sounded better but never close to others who had that era of Strats.
