Three middle school students in Wisconsin are being investigated for sexual harassment after they allegedly referred to classmates by their wrong pronouns.

Can this country get any more absurd,.

Heard that on the news this morning. I guess at least one of them demanded to be called "they'. Weird.

Absurdity is the new normal.

And there is the newfound problem of pronouns. Unless we’re all going to wear name tags with our pronouns on them you’re bound to offend somebody.

If a person is offended by me calling them he or she I will call that person it. Problem solved, humanity saved.

You won’t call a singular person “they” or “them”?

WGAF about gender pronouns.
One can think it is nothing but a bunch of b.s., but simply be polite and accommodate. This is not an educational issue.

It is not criminal and most younger folks don't even consider it so far out of the ordinary that it bothers them. It has been "the new normal for years now.

So, what is the bfd? It is a social-religious issue to be dealt with, if even necessary, in the home, family by family, and with professional help to make necessary adjustments, if helpful

And by the way- what source did this even come from? I'd like to read, listen or watch it.

According to the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL), in March, one of their peers announced the pronouns they'd prefer to be addressed as — they/them. the three accused refused and continued to use "wrong" pronouns as if on purpose and in some cases reportedly on purpose as a form of bullying...

One of the alleged incidents happened in late April. Others mentioned but no time line given in the article i read...

“She had been screaming at one of Braden’s friends to use proper pronouns, calling him profanity, and this friend is very soft-spoken, and kind of just sunk down into his chair,” Rabidoux explained. “Braden finally came up, defending him, saying ‘He doesn’t have to use proper pronouns, it’s his constitutional right to not use, you can’t make him say things.’”

That is called freedom of speech, look it up in the constitution if you are unfamiliar with it. Also title IX is being applied as the basis of the investigation, you may want to bone up on that. IX has no legal basis for the investigation. Is there any specific law, or constitutional amendment you would like to point out that makes biologically correct pronouns criminal to use? When you say alleged incident that infers you know something I am unaware of.

As far as I can tell this is governmental overreach that is evil, insidious, and illegal. I will willingly contribute to a defense fund for the 3 8th graders, and to any fund for their civil cases against the jerk offs that are persecuting them.

Finally let's quite abusing the constitution to fit the preference of the day. That is fucked up and getting more so by the day.

I believe the proper remedy is for each one of us to refer to each other as "Comrade"....

i assume you are referring to my post?

i never said it did not fall under free speech nor did i say i agree (or disagree) with the charge being levied.

My use of the term "alleged incident" is simple - i am not claiming to know anything other then what the article i read provided in which they used the term and since i have no evidence to show it did or did not occur... is is alleged...

lastly i simply posted details from an article of the event for those interested that may not have had the time or desire to google...

now for my personal feelings, based on what was said in the article... it appears to be bulling I'm not sure anything else applies but again, i know very little about what did/did not happen so i reserve the right to change my opinion later. I am also not a lawyer and have no idea how this fits into current law.

Bullying has no place in schools and should be punished accordingly. free speech does not equal free of consequences.

If she's screaming and cursing at the shy kid wouldn't she be just as much of a bully? I think I need more context. Where's cell phone video when you need it?
