Coffeed up, dog walked and fed, more crap staged in the garage for the next dump run. Fishing tomorrow... wife taking the next 2 days off (burning sick time) so it'll be her turn to clean stuff while I go fishing.

Friday we get back to cleaning and staging for pictures at 1100 local.

8,000 streps so far today. 30 minute dog walk completed. 10.2 mile of light rain biking. Coffee and a heating pad humming now.

Kitchen remodel fun. A section of the new lights don't work, electrician returned to diagnose.

Turns out, the new LED lights killed the dimmer switch and will eventually kill the other one. They can't take the extra power pushed by the LEDs. Dimmers need to be replaced- upcharge. Then there are dimmers within the dimmers to have more exact lighting- for an upcharge.

Oh- and all of the current outlet covers are ivory. The number of color options are limited due to....

(supply chain, covid, ukraine, immigration, china, inflation, joe biden, donald trump, climate change, gas prices, isis, taliban, obama, 9/11, war in iraq, war in afghanistan, brexit, george w bush, rap, grunge, folk & indie rock, 80's hair styles, cyndi lauper, deaths of john lennon and george harrison, jimmy walker and joe namath medicare commercials, mets winning the 86 ws, the shutting down of the concorde flights, racism, heightism, sexual harassment, not asking how a person identifies and or their personal pronouns, new coke, big macs in styrofoam packaging, war in grenada, beyder's sister, wonton chips, celtic bomber's rice krispy bar, el nino, howard cosell leaving monday night football, caddyshack 2, bill clinton, george herbert walker bush, ronald reagan, the death of disco, iran hostage crisis, billy carter's substandard beer, gerald ford, nixon, watergate, withdrawal from vietnam, tet offensive, bobby kennedy's poor swimming lessons for mary joe koepekne, rfk assassination, rfk sending advisors to vietnam, the gulf of tonkin false flag operation, ike\military industrial complex, elvis, truman, fdr, korean war, building of the berlin wall, end of WW2, devaluation of the duetche mark, communisim, fascism, hitler, churchill's heavy drinking and smoking, invasions of poland, annexation of of austria and the sudetenland, neville chamberlain's appeasement, pearl harbor, japan needing oil after their attack on manchuria, the failed weimar republic, two hoovers (president and j edgar), the depression, speculation in the stock market, roaring twenties, coolidge, harding, wilson sending us to war after being reelected as the guy who kept us out of war, spanish flu, ww1, imperialism, the zimmerman note, taft, bull moose party, theo roosevelt, the assassination of mckinley and the death of queen victoria) all reasons it will be unlikely we will get ivory colored LED dimmers.

Other than that, we should be good.

Aren't you a fine Brother? Yes you are.
It's the customer dimmer switches he's checking into for the color.

Appreciate the offer, although I shall be fine.

One of yesterday's rides was a lady who is a small scale customer transport specialists. She gets calls to take one off loads to different places in the country. Take product from point a to point b in X # of days.

Asked her about any memorable trips recently. She said she picked up a Kohler sink in Kohler WI and had to take it to the Los Angeles Luxury Kohler store- not sure if that is actual name. She said the price tag on the sink was $125,000.

Thought it would be smarter to take it directly to your remodel.

we're getting to a couple of days until our involuntary remodel of two bathrooms, a vanity/make-up area, and a hallway, is done.
Quartz tops went in today.

Damage/flood occurred end of September!

Just got a toll violation in da mail. Driving back from LAX with the wife and BIL... jumped into the carpool lane (there was 3 of us!) and then a ways into it they had a sign... "Transponder only".

D*ckbags.

$28 bucks for about a half mile, as I got out when I saw it was transponder only. Wonder how many mofo's they've duped?

Got one in the mail for blowing a red light with a link to the video as proof of my guilt. Sent back a note pointing out the "" Turn on Red Right Lane Only" that my truck passed next to in the video. Ticket dismissed. SOB victorious!

Is another sexual preference I need to learn about? Or, are we just suppose to Ponder, Trans people?

No toll roads in Az so I never think about that much but on our trip to Austin recently they were everywhere. Wife switched the google to "no toll roads" which took us away from the freeways and out into the country roads many times. Added a few miles and time but we saw a lot more country, small towns and one hell of a lot less billboards.

Tyrannical Fitbit nagging for activity. Easy to be in the Fat Burning zone. The Cardio and Peak zones feel the FB is trying to kill me.

One more cup of coffee then off with the dog.

Midmorning bike ride on the agenda.

60 degrees now, high to be 70.

Hit 101 yesterday and will be about 100 for the next 3 days then back into the 90s but the mornings are gorgeous.

On my morning 5 miler I passed some idiot on an electric bike pulling his dog along at about 10-12 mph. Thought seriously about knocking the bastid off his bike. Cursing

Wife made 3 lbs. of char siu again, using a family recipe from her cousin’s husband’s mother.

The house was smelling so good while it was in the oven.

The results, especially while still warm, were super delicious! 😋

May 30th, 1966 when they realized he should be giving orders, not following them.

Thanks for your service, Ram, and Macs, and Whistle, and Stinger, and Gunner in absentia, and probably several others I'm forgetting. Apologies for that

Had to stay till 9am for new equipment education.

Time for bed. Gotta walk through the pouring rain and drive home first.

Weather report from North Central MA so Kell-tick can stay up to date:

Low to mid 70's and cloudy. Calling for thunderstorms/rain overnight and again off and on tomorrow.

Landscapers are out mowing the lawns around the complex. They put up the Jersey barriers that they use every summer to block off a section of the parking lot for the kids to ride their bikes and stuff in a safe area. It's rather small for real bikes, mostly used for little kids on training wheels and stuff.

Picnic tables are deployed in the green space around the little playground. Still unsure if the outdoor pool will be open this season. Building manager has been trying to higher lifeguards but is having trouble getting some. Without a lifeguard on duty, they can't open the pool. Prolly an insurance/liability thing.

Wonder if they could have pool users sign a waiver alleviating the complex from liability and "swim at your own risk" sort of thing kinda like they have for the onsite gym.

Early dog walk, breakfast at some fancy schmancy place in DePere. Three times the price, one third the food. Should have had breakfast before breakfast.

Got a semi update on the delayed dishwasher. Turns out they have started to manufacture them again after being offline since January 1st. That would have been nice to know in early March when we decided to purchase it.

Ashe was too sore for a bike ride, so stopped at a guys house and move bags of mulch from the front to backyard yard to get me to 10,000 steps. Got a bonus of a bottle of water and a cigar as a bonus. Winning.

Time to scrounge for lunch. Wife usually has suggested food items for me to consume based on expiration dates.

Will log some heating pad time as well. No Giddy-up. Looking for Giddy-downing to a cigar and a bourbon.

Closing out the last full day of beach vacation. Enjoying a cigar and a beer on the patio listening to the boats, and the homeless people yelling at trees.

This place would be amazing if they could figure out the homelessness issues. And the politics. But otherwise, CA is awesome.

No grief from the building manager wrt bird feeders that folks still have up.

Squirrels are still robbing the food though. Might do the hot pepper laced feed when it's time to buy another bag.

Spot weedwacked and then mowed the lawn.

At one point I decided to do some weeding but then it started to drizzle. Quickly finished the rest of the yard. A few minutes after I put everything away, it poured. 🌧

Happy long weekend you worker types. I always look forward to the Indy 500 as it's been a tradition for over 60 years. Listened to it on the radio as a kid before we had our 1st TV. Many local drivers and owners have figured prominently in it over those years.

Hit 103 yesterday again which is about 10 degrees over normal but it is expected to drop back in the 90s over the weekend.
