Got to see LF twice but the most memorable in July 1978. It was a GREAT show! They were on the way back after a tour of Japan. Additionally, after Weather Report's concert that same night, Jaco Pastorius made a guest appearance during the encore, "Teenage Nervous Breakdown". I never kept up with the group once Lowell passed away.

Was lucky enough to see FZ on my 18th birthday. Next stop on their tour was Australia. Didn't understand much of the music or know too many FZ songs but did know "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow".

All right..........now you’re just bragging.........LF and Weather Report......together?!! AWESOME...

Jaco was in his prime about then...........just too sad that alcohol tore him up, along with some psychiatric issues..........and then that out of touch bouncer.
How about just holding Jaco down until the cops came........he probably weighed a buck thirty five by that time.......but nooooo........bouncer has to pound the chit out of him.........dead Jaco.

Laugh Haha, no. It wasn’t a double-bill show. Weather Report played at a different venue (Waikiki Shell) than the Feat (Andrew’s Amphitheater). But the venues are, maybe 15 minutes apart so easy for Jaco to get there. I wasn’t as big of a jazz fan back then so the decision to see LF instead of WR was easy.
