Truck trip computer was at 240 miles.

Took wife n boy to Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. Wanted to do Brookfield but it would be over $100 to go plus gas and tolls. Lincoln Park is free but $30 to park.

Had a good day. Making pizza for dinner. Gonna make poutine later tonight.

Tomorrow wife's gonna be gone at a local beerfest so the boy and I will probably go to a train museum about an hour away. A few times a year they do really long train rides with old steam trains and 100 year old Pullman passenger cars and this weekend is one of those times.

Welcome weekend warriors. Out early for a hike in the forest and then the farmers market. Windy and cool in the mountains today.

Morning, peoples. I'd rather be hiking, but yard work today. Then off to the city this evening for my cousin's open house. I believe this will complete our open house obligations for the season

Train place plans aren't happening. Boy says he don't like trains anymore.

Wife's having a fit about the patio not being done yet cause I'm such a lazy fvck.

So I'm gonna spend my day on the couch with the xbox.

Stay off the sidewalks, we have a new teen driver in the mix

My son passed his driver's test today so he can legally be behind the wheel without supervision Yikes! (actually he is rather safe driver but still... I'm a parent and always worry). Added him to AAA membership in case of any needed roadside assistance. Next is we'll have to buy him a car. Not right away, he still needs to save up some $ to pay his share for a vehicle.

This retired auto accident lawyer advises that the very next things are more urgent.:

Visit, call or go online with your insurer to ADD HIM AS A NEW DRIVER IN YOURHOUSEHOLD as soon as possible. Make certain that he is bound by coverage in writing before he drives anymore.

If you wait too long and something happens while he is driving OR MAYBE EVEN JUST AS A PASSENGER in someone elses' car they could deny coverage for the event and cancel the policy. fog

Yeah did that yesterday. He's already added to the policy as an "occasional driver" or some verbiage like that.
