New washing machine - The old one has dementia and cannot decide which cycle it is on - or complete a cycle after it has started.

If Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. She picked out a new machine yesterday and it is being delivered next week.

You are lucky to get it that fast these days.

I thought big box places like Target and Best Buy were selling off their excess inventory of durable goods? At least that’s what I remember seeing last week.

One thing I ain’t buying in the foreseeable future will be cigars.

Bought a borderline insane amount of Toro-sized smokes a couple weeks ago and then ran across a decent deal for some rather pricey Padrons that I’d been wanting to buy so got 5ers of those too. From what I can figure, optimal smoke time for the Toros will be a year from now. The Padrons were specifically purchased for a very special occasion in 2032 (…assuming I’m still alive and smoking cigars at that time…).

Luckily(?) was able to use the LaPyaP 6 months interest-free purchase option so ezy-peazy to pay a hunnert or so and not really miss it.

Padrons are available again locally!
Couldn't resist the Machete special edition CFed
Haven't bought any cfed in a while

In today's crash?
Hopefully the question has been whatcha sellin.

How low will your favorite oil company go before the deadcat?

Dangerous times to be trading. Fortunately took profits off the table Tuesday

Maybe when bumblefuss sees how a serious country refines oil he'll wake from woke & let America build a modern refinery
If not there's always DG
dollar general

I'mma not selling but the ROI on whatever Cuban cigars I have would be compelling.

Seriously considered a Speed Queen but they are damn proud of their machines. Can purchase 2 of the one that we got for the price of one of the 'Queens. If this one does not make it long I think I could convince the Mrs. to consider one next time. The last one (Maytag) lasted 7 years before it lost its mind (computer issue). The unit and guts still look like new but the cost of the replacement "mind" is more than a new unit.

Mine exceeded 5% and some more than 10%. I made a ****-ton of money selling off my collection at fair prices. They truly were the good "investment" I predicted, but also knew it was only to the extent that I didn't smoke them. LOL. Pm me your cell and I'll text you a picture of my collection.

Yup. A bunch of my early inventory came from your thinnings. And ‘cause they were already 3 to 5 years old at the time, ready to smoke. Herfing

The PLPC, ERdM Choix, Monte 2008 EL and and Monte PE were among my favorites. I still have one Monte 2008 EL left and I am saving it for a special occasion. The ERdM were awesome. I only paid like $300 for a 50 cab like 8-10 years ago from a swiss site that is no longer in business.

The Monte C EL from 2003 was one of my favorites, but I do not save cigars very well. When I like them, I seem to power right through them.

Tomorrow ain't a guarantee. Smoke 'em.

That's my problem with cigars... I had a "collection" at one point, but like the great Ron White... I intended on smoking each and every last one of them... and I did!

Our repair man told me to buy a Speed Queen when the 7 year old washing machine was gonna be very expensive to repair, and he added to go for the low tech control model rather than the new fangled computer-touch-screen type.
Spin the dial, push...it washes the clothes.

Good info on the speed queens. After I buy a freakin' house I'm gonna need new ones. Not shipping the current setup. Whirlpool Duet Sport front loaders. They've been good, but trying to ship as little as possible.

Doh... nobody likes a dead cat, ask Schrödinger, well, he probably liked dead cats... but mine is alive! Nobody killed it yet! It's a trooper.

EV Hill #3... sounds like a bad movie, but so far it's going well.
