My son passed his driver's test today so he can legally be behind the wheel without supervision Yikes! (actually he is rather safe driver but still... I'm a parent and always worry). Added him to AAA membership in case of any needed roadside assistance. Next is we'll have to buy him a car. Not right away, he still needs to save up some $ to pay his share for a vehicle.

Visit, call or go online with your insurer to ADD HIM AS A NEW DRIVER IN YOURHOUSEHOLD as soon as possible. Make certain that he is bound by coverage in writing before he drives anymore.
If you wait too long and something happens while he is driving OR MAYBE EVEN JUST AS A PASSENGER in someone elses' car they could deny coverage for the event and cancel the policy.
