Wishin' I Was Fishin' 500

Yeah... that's right. I'm always wishin' I was fishin'.

Know why? Because out on the water, far from land, surrounded by nothing but birds and fish and water... the worries of the world are blocked out. No stress, no strife, just peace and relaxation... followed by the excitement of a reel screaming as a fish takes the bait.

It's my happy place. If there's one thing I will miss about CA... it's that. Gonna have to find it in FL.

I absolutely love fast cars. Which is exactly why I need a truck.

I drive much too fast in sports cars.

Sounds fun. Done that and drifting sessions and both were a blast. I keep thinking of building a hot beater car just for the autocross circuit. I did a few runs in my '65 Corvette a few years back but need something built specifically for the function to really compete.

Well, it’s oh-fish-ial. This won't be the last cast, there is a lot to lure one into the net, after all, we are hooked on the bait, somthing we learned in schooling no doubt.

If you can think of a beta pun, drop me a line.

Pitbike is "done" as in both the boy and I rode it.

Engine needs to be remounted for final drive alignment and I need to make a chain guard. It's impossible to get pants snagged n stuff but I've burst a few chains and I'd much rather have it tangle up over the rear sprocket than come up and get the back of my thigh ...again.

Changed the oil in it for the first time since 2016. That time there was no oil to drain. I think I neglected to put oil in it from new, so 2 years on assembly grease only. Crankcase was still full this time. Oil didn't feel very slippery in the fingers anymore tho. But in order to drain the oil the engine had to come out to access the drain plugs. I had to pull it to do things anyway.

Rides super nice. No chattering clutch, no violent launches (but I do miss the intentional violent launch) still GPS top speed is 18. Bare clutch n chain was 25. It's amazingly quiet.

It's about to become an on the day for me. All winter I read about how to fish on lake Tahoe. Hopefully it helps. Trout for dinner sounds good.

Maybe a little gill-ty, but I wasn't trying anything fishy. I should dolphinitely scale back on the fish puns. It’s a great oppor-tuna-ty to let other take the bait and swim.

Started using it on the 1st. I like that there’s an instant view of all the pertinent info instead of having to scroll across on the spreadsheet. Having the band also helps.

Thanks once more!

Called doctor to confirm today is my 5th day of covid quarantine and that since I have no fever, I am free tomorrow to go out tomorrow with a mask- for just five days - so long as I am symptom and fever free!

Having had the vid now and taken the antivirals, I xcan say that what I had was much worse than a cold with a fever for the first 36 hours. Once I took the antivirals, my improvement accelerated amazingly fast.

I will definitely get the next shot when it is available and I am eligible because I don't even want another "mild" case again, if I can avoid it.

Been in the shop for like 90 days now.
Sick and tired of the rental. Just want to get rid of my car and in to a new one now...

You might have to wait for a new one as well - not a lot of good choices out there at the moment

I know. There is a decent (relatively) deal on what I want through July 5, but I doubt I can get my money from the insurance company that soon, especially since my car is not complete or reinspected yet.

$13k damage to the rear plus at least one supplement, including a fully collapsed trunk and and fenders, bent side-frame rails. No way it is as safe as a factory vehicle now even though they are using only OEM parts.

No way I am driving that vehicle any longer than I have to. I am really uptight about crash safety.

It's just a shame the repaired vehicle will not have the value ad your pre-damage vehicle.

Wife and I went out to see the Midwest version of Dueling Pianos. Had some tickets through a friend. Good show.

How do you make two questionable decision at the same time? Canned margaritas with two shots of tequila in each.

Somehow, I was able to keep my clothes on. … I think.

62 right now, headed to 98. Got the house fan going, sucking in that cold air. It's already 69 inside. See if we can get it to 65 before the dog walk, then close it up.

You guys and your fish puns... I thought I smelt something fishy.
