Large branch fell off of one of the front yard oak trees. No damage to the house.
Thankfully, the city is a week behind on the downed trees from last week's wind event. Was able to get it to the street just ahead of the casual pace of the city tree crew.

Dog walked, fueling up with coffee for the lawn mowing at the top of the hour.

Already 78 heading to 91.

Clam up, you couldn't kelp yourself, you were probably lost in the seaweed.

It's just a shame the repaired vehicle will not have the value ad your pre-damage vehicle.

I will be making a "diminution of value claim" for the difference between the value of my car before the crash and it's value immediately after full repair, which I presently believe exceeds $5k.

A year ago when I bought the car, I put zero down and took on payments o f$308/moth. Same car is now like 3-4k down and $500/month.

I had 26 months left on my lease for which I will seek a monthly subsidy as well- because new car prices are so much greater that they were ($425-450/month) for the same car. Sucks, but I WILL win!

I will.
Standard Jury Instruction is 110% in my favor, although I abhor litigation (especially in this case).
Won't even need a jury. Just a small claims judge. It will be over in 15 minutes.

Second night of three out with some friends and close friends.
River float might get washed out. Clouds and rain along with a 75 air temps and things get cold fast.

Driving, but have a professional copilot. They don't trust us to take their rides by our lonesome

Hotel is right next to the track, so I figured a brisk walk and Party short would do me good. They didn't expect pedestrians. Had to wait in a line of cars yo sign in. Sign in lady looks at me like I had a third head, so I said, "Well ma'am, I had to sell the car to afford the ticket." "Why would you do that?!?!?" "Ma'am, you need coffee I think."

Clear and sunny day. Mid 80's. Good day for a bike ride maybe a dip in the pool. At some point I'll have to finish up my final term paper for one of my classes. Need to submit it by midnight. Prolly 3 hours homework to do.

For some strange reason I'm craving chicken piccata. That will be the eats tonight but gotta go to the store and get me some capers. Prolly see what they have for steaks while there. Cook up some steaks tomorrow

Real men eat veal piccata.
Anyhow, couldn't fall asleep until like 4am so I woke up at a 12:30 pm and am just getting this lazy Sunday going.

Gonna take the wide-screen TV off the wall to hang some pictures above it. That's it for today!

I don't think I've ever eaten veal. Maybe next time. I usually cook large portions on the weekends when I'm off and have leftovers during the week.

Not sure some folks would be open to my cooking if they knew the meat came from a baby cow. Chickens, pigs, and adult cows are OK but baby cows might not go over well. I just won't tell them.

Steak tips were on sale so grabbed a couple pounds of that to toss in the freezer.

Tomorrow I'll do some ribeyes and T-bones (also on sale). Was looking for NY strips but they didn't have any to my liking.

Corn on the cob is starting to come in. Right now about $0.50 an ear, usually drops to about $0.25 an ear in the summer. The current ones are probably from the Carolinas or FL as it's too early for local cobs. I love me some corn on the cob, one of the pluses during the summer so I had to buy some.

I think there are laws that say you can't kill your wife.

On another note $2.99/lb for cherries at Hanaford's (local/regional grocery store). They usually run about $5/lb. Bagged me about 4 lbs of them. I love cherries.

Yeah... so I got that to look forward to.

Took down a bunch of pictures today. Starting to look pretty sparse around here.
