Robert, with your law background you well know you shouldn't have posted that. It's going to totally undermine the tragic accident story you're about to come up with.

Fishing was successful. We limited the whole boat on salmon. (2 each). I caught the biggest one.

Good Monday Morning! It's an overcast 78° on the way to 92° today. We are picking up a golf cart in Rock Hill, SC, first a stop at our older son's place to borrow a trailer, then a 2.5-hour drive to Rock Hill, and a slower drive home.

The cart is a 2018 EZ GO RXV Electric, apparently other than aftermarket modifications, the Ex Go AC motor is the best choice for getting up our steep driveway. Even a Club Car manages grudgingly acknowledged it was the best choice.

Was 65 when I started the dog walk. 82 at finish and headed to 100. Ugh...

When I was in the Navy, working at a small boat repair facility at NAB Coronado, we had a number of electric EZ GO carts. One was a flatbed and we'd carry a lot of heavy stuff on that thing and it handled it just fine. I'd take an EZ GO over a Club Car any day.

yes, EZ Go carts were workhorses at the colleges where I worked...they take a lickin and keep on tickin...

we had one stolen once, and it was found a couple weeks later about 15 miles away from campus...towed it back, charged it up and back in service...the ignition switches are chit,

I was 68 when I started my morning walk...I'm a little more tired, but still 68...

Getting back to the regular “grind”. Over the Wednesday through Saturday run, don’t really know my smokes, drinks and foods count. During that same time frame, had two days where I didn’t hit my fat burning targets.

One of those days coincided with a half pound mushroom and Swiss and large slice of blueberry cheesecake.

Not a problem because I am not claiming I can't do those thing. Truth is what makes cases more valuable- people don't know that.

On another note $2.99/lb for cherries at Hanaford's (local/regional grocery store). They usually run about $5/lb. Bagged me about 4 lbs of them. I love cherries.
GREAT SCORE there, Bucky!

Life is filled with little victories.

Prolly should have grabbed another bag of them... this bag is almost done. Cherry season is rather short up here and I love cherries. Cherries and watermelon are my favorite summertime fruits. As those wind down then transition to nectarines and peaches. Raspberries are like crack. I could eat a pound of them in about 10 minutes but they are rather expensive. Usually buy them frozen in a berry mix with strawberries, blueberries and put them in my iced tea.

Fall season will be the variety of apples. Winter time, my go to are oranges, tangerines and grapefruit.

Mangos are high up on the list too.

I'm rather fruity and snack on them all the time. Healthy snack that comes with their own biodegrade packaging.

Someone at work makes a nice crab apple jelly. I don't know her recipe but its a nice blend of not too sweet and not too tart. That will be a fall thing too.

Thanks for the comments about the EX GO, it runs up the driveway with two people on board no problem.

Now to add a receiver hitch so I can haul up the trash can. I usually use my pickup, but witht the hitch installed, there is about 2 inches of spare space to get the garage door closed.

Oh, and believe it or not, today was the very first time I've ever driven a golf cart. The closest thing was a tiny little Briggs and Stratton industrial vehicle similar to a golf cart with a gasoline engine.

For a few years I followed the “Fit For Life” diet that Martina Navratilova subscribed to and only ate fruits in the morning. Also ate a lot of veggies and starch to help fuel my 5 days a week of tennis plus an “off day” 5 mile run. My wife was concerned about all the sugar in the fruits but my doctor was fine with it since it was all natural and I was constantly burning it.

Yes... that is the game I like to play.

Got less than 8 hours in at the shpo yesterday. The little victory though was a customer came in with a box of pickles giving each of us a jar.

Free jar of pickles.

Victory is mine!

Out in the garage with a smoke and a drink. The boy comes out and says there's a weird staticky sound coming from behind one of my posters in the basement.

Went down there with him and heard it too. Like Styrofoam squeaking.

I have extruded polystyrene foam board insulation along the sill plate and rim joists. Definitely sounds like a piece is wiggling around. Grab a stethoscope and listen to the three in that spot and one is the culprit. Wasn't sure what I'd find but I assumed it would be a bug. Brought a jug of insecticide down with me before I opened it up.

It was ants. Hundreds of ants. Big fuggers. They were making tunnels in the insulation. Sprayed em dead and put the foam back. Thought I might have to re seal the door or something but the caulk is good. Watched a couple outside walk from the porch, up and under the storm door and around the hinge side of the exterior door, come in the house, through a gap in the vinyl plank flooring at the entry and downstairs.

Sprayed outside, around the door, in the floor gap, and hopefully that's the end of that. Been fighting with ants here forever. Usually it's a spring and fall thing. I've got bait traps everywhere. They had a huge nest in my crawlspace last year but a handful of poison bait granules took care of that.

The joys of nature.

Back from my 5 mile stroll and lost 2.4 lbs. Time to replenish the radiator since nothing is coming out of the petcock but steam is rising from the cap. Might add a dash of antifreeze later on.

I have a non-aggression agreement with the ants but can't get the skeeters to sign anything.

Funny you should ask that.

I’m putting together a “Ochugen” box for a h.s. buddy that will be arriving here tonight. He’s “hapa” (…half-Japanese, half-Irish…) so whenever we get together or iffin’ I feel like bombing the carp outta him, I give / send him a buncha Japanese / Asian stuff. He lives in St. George, UT so not easy for him to just go down the street and pick up some nori for sushi or arare to snack on. Right now I bought w-a-y too much stuff so gonna give him a bag with stuff he can eat and drink while he’s here and then send a LFR to surprise him when he gets home.

Also planning another box for a Braddah here but haven’t yet, gotten two of the main things I need to make his box meaningful. Timing will be critical but I have Plan B in my back pocket so it’ll go out as scheduled.

As far as the lab work, blood draw and pizz sample for my annual check-up next week. Been taking a page outta DanM’s playbook and abstain from cigars and excessive booze for 10 days prior to going to the clinic.

Big mesquite tree in the front yard has started it's annual seed pod drop. Too heavy to blow and raking doesn't work very well either so we pick up by hand for about 10-15 minutes each day. This lasts about one month and my back doesn't like it one bit.

Also lawn furniture repair and paint day. Fun times!

Pick up some knee pads, like volleyball players use. Or, if you want to invest more, Home Depot’s and the like have contractor professional apparatuses which would ease your pain.
