The Honorary Grand Wizened.

It's from post 326 that was a response to post 313.

You're number three after number two:

Hello folks.

Had an injection into the joints where two ribs abut the sternum, one of which is slightly displaced. Hurt like a bitch!!!, but is doing a bit better today.

Thinking of going for a swim- if it doesn't look like rain.

Traveling down to Boca Raton tonight to stay at my daughter's place and then go down further south to Coral Gables tomorrow morning to check out my son's new apartment. We already got him a bed. Now we just need to check the place out and buy him whatever other furniture he needs. His plan is to be fully moved in and living there on 8/2.

And, of course, lunch at Versailles again tomorrow!!!

Hope you all have a Happy Friday and a great weekend...

The Honorary title was actually in reference to the "40 year club", whose members have celebrated at the least, their 40 year anniversary of marriage (to the same woman, or it doesn't count). It started when Ram announced his 43rd anniversary in post #185... discussion evolved with others chiming in about the lengths of their marriages, thus the birth of the "40 year club"....and of course, whenever length becomes a topic, Frank's name pops up...

It was speculated that Frank has been in marital bliss with the Lovely Caren for many more years than 40. But if Gene or HD or any other member has been wed for longer, the title should sit with the rightful owner...

Thank you for the explanation.

Too late for me, unless it's a 50+ year club, we just celebrated our 53rd. LOL

Saturday morning gents. Going to a big fu fu wedding today for my niece. My brother is footing the bill of around $30K and offered that in cash if they preferred. I really can’t understand why young people want a big expensive wedding instead of using the money to help get them started like a down payment for a house etc.

I agree. We took the cash and got married at my parents house. Used the money for a down payment on a town house, which we sold 10 years later for a 30% profit. Beer

Closing off the center of town around the city hall and post office for a food truck festival. Something like 24 food trucks of all flavors and cuisines from 11 am to 8:30 PM. Some local bands will be playing on a little stage they set up in front of city hall and stuff like that.

Nice day for it, clear skies high 70's. Prolly walk down and check it out.

Good Saturday Morning! It's an overcast 85° on the way to 90° with afternoon thunderstorms, again.

I do still have some hair, mostly gray though.

Morning from Flagtown. Wife and I were out for a walk in 56 pine scented degrees and getting ready to take our hosts out for breakfast. Then on to the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
