It was reported this morning that Trump said He was a unifier like no other.

Taking Trump at his word, that Abe was a unifying force, I understand why he had to be shot- he apparently wasn't blindly wearing the equivalent of a red or blue jersey in his country. Those are the people who apparently need to be eliminated.

Welp, I guess that is me. At what time should I expect a Red jerseyed Trump-ette or a Blue shirted Socialist to put a bullet in my head?

I hear Japan has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world. So the assassin, a former military guy in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force made a shotgun.

According to Forbes, it was 9 (NINE!) in 2018.

I think it was a home made hand gun, Ray...that was on local news early this morning so may have been anecdotal...

but in practice it appears you are correct, he would rule with iron fist with very strict laws.

They don't need homemade shotguns. They have the Hoosier pipeline. Gazillions of arms just tossed across the border by unscrupulous legal purchasers looking to make a quick buck. Oh, the humanity!
