a baby alpaca is called a Cria (CREE-uh).

Females have an 11.5 month gestation period, like a horse. They have one baby at a time.

It's apparently illegal to be drunk while in a bar in Alaska. If you find yourself having gotten drunk you can not remain at the bar you got drunk at. You also can't knowingly enter a bar to drink more if already drunk. Not sure if you can enter drunk if you have no intention to drink more. Seems like a possible loophole

Huh... bet you can't be "drunk in public", either (Ron White skit).

Conundrum!

The semi-rough texture I had installed in the pool when I had it resurfaced about 5 years ago makes a great back scratcher when the Conan supplied unit is not handy.

I miss that store that gave me a good deal on them. Crying

I knew the owner was gonna close up the store and retire, I should have offered to buy all the backscratchers from her. Hindsight is 20/20. d'oh!

In Pennsylvania it is against the law for more than 16 women to live together in the same house, because that constitutes a brothel.

Zone Rouge in France.
An area originally 460 square miles in northern France so toxic after WWI that not only were towns not rebuilt.

The area is saturated with unexploded shells (including many gas shells), grenades, and rusty ammunition. Soils were heavily polluted by lead, mercury, chlorine, arsenic, various dangerous gases, acids, and human and animal remains.[1] The area was also littered with ammunition depots and chemical plants.

This one is a weird one, not sure if it qualifies as knowledge... yet... it comes from Sir Roger Penrose with work he's doing with Stuart Hameroff.

Hallucinogens bind to microtubules in neurons that allow you to experience the wave function more closer to the way it actually exists.

At least that's my interpretation.

Interesting stuff.

Edit:

My interpretation is probably a bit out there on this one... I watched a video, and staid at a Holliday Inn, so it's probably true.

Former pro wrestler Lex Luger started his brief NFL career with the Green Bay Packers as an offensive lineman.
More offensive, he wore the #66.
