Just wondering, what is everyone's favorite beer to drink when smoking your cigars? Feel free to name a beer local to your area.... I'll Start: (1)Shiner Bock and (2)Budweiser.

Mine would have to be guiness, but I usually prefer scotch or bourbon.

1.COLD! 2.Guiness 3.Bud 4.Rolling Rock (stop laughing!). This was pretty hard because I am a real beer lover. I appreciate most beers, except for lite beer....yuck, why bother! Also, Rold Gold pretzels are a must. What can I say...I'm a simple man...beer, cigars and pretzels...it's what I live for.

Sam Adams, Bass, and Spaten Oktoberfest which is an awesome beer when smoking cigars. Good call billy boy! What a bitch to find in NY though, I pick up in the Boston Area when I'm up there.

Bass, Guinness, and a beauty called Ommegang- a true Belgian-style beer brewed in Cooperstown NY. Something like 11% ABV

Pete's Wicked Ale, Newcastle Brown Ale, Shiner Bock (my favorite -- pretty damn good and easier on the pocketbook), Young's Double-Chocolate Stout (try it -- you'll be surprised!). Oops! That's four.

Carlsberg Carls Special, Ceres Stout (A Danish Guiness look alike, Black) and Newcasle Brown Ale. Wow, Newkie Brown's probably my fave beer/ale.

As I posted in the micro-brewery thread...Karl Strauss is my fav and brewed in my own town: 1] Summer Gold (a lighter beer), 2] Amber Lager (a bit heavier), 3] Oktoberfest (a bit of a bite for me, but I'm liking it). I've had some of the best times while enjoying Jamaican Red Stripe. It hit the spot! And Carib is great when in the islands and there's no drinking water around, hah!. As you see, my tastes are on the light side but slowly evolving to the lagers. I think I'm gonna try that Shiner Bock since EHJR and CL both mentioned it and I've had most of the others. Sorry EHJR, I can't keep it short! BTW, Jack is my ultimate bev of choice, straight up or with a splash of coke...

What season are we talking here? I see a lot of Octoberfests, and I agree in the fall. In the summer: Harpoon Summer Beer (fantastic). In Cold weather, Guiness (no bottles, draft or pub-draft can). All year, local brew Buzzards Bay Pale Ale (Used to be Ipswich Ale, but I moved and can't get it fresh)

Try Anchor Steam, Rat Beach Red or Red Tail Ale all made in California or a good Cabernet or Tawny Port

Okay, my local Vons grocery store doesn't carry Shiner Bock so I tried Spaten Premium. I didn't like it at first while it was real cold, but as it's warming up, I'm liking it better. Either that or it's just strong enough to kick my butt and make me THINK it's good...I'm going to Beverages N' More tomorrow to search it out. ps. also bought some Rolling Rock but didn't pop it yet.
