Couple things Brew, I don’t think people are as opposed as you think I think people are more in tuned with the context of reality.

How are materials used in these mined, how much carbon is used to bring these to market, how much $ and time would the grid take to function, and where do we source power.

It’s NOT arcane to ask these questions and be realistic about an overall impact in totality. People need to get point A to point B and Americans are used to freedom to do so when they choose to for as far as they want. If the tech doesn’t push to that it isn’t going to work. Now one big question I have is how is this going to work with renters and apartments?

Pushing an idea without full context of reality is going to bring contempt.

Z, I cannot think of any transportation out side of walking that has a net zero carbon footprint. It is a question of degree and which ones are better than others. All cars are made by mining ore. And while there is an ecological price for mining lithium and nickel that has to be stacked up next to oil production and billions of gallons burned each year. Net, net, EV’s are way cleaner - and more efficient.

We are at the dawn of a transition away from ICE vehicles. And just like there was a day when apartments didn’t have cable, there will be a day when a electrical plug in the parking stall will be common.

When we get into regulating pollution- especially at this scale - “freedom” is a crock. No, you can’t have leaded gas. Yes, your car has to pass a yearly emissions test. But these are good things.

Gas engines aren’t going anywhere for a good long while yet. But as the years go by they will be largely phased out.
I would tell you this is a good thing. The EV I have is better than my last cars in several ways.

Zrx you give people too much credit. People don’t do homework and make deeply thought out decisions. They parrot what they are told which is often false or misleading. Get a clue.

In ge end ZRX would suck Roger Stone and gang bang any number of white supremacy groups.

Brew when people see the people eager to regulate are hypocrites who are in it for profit it doesn’t breed good will.

My friend, we are Americans. Making a buck is out coat of arms.
In the end (literally) we get F’ed by the moneyed.

But, if you look at the science (hard to do) this actually is a good thing.

Trust me, you really don’t want lead in the gas supply. And you do want clean energy. As we all should.

Again, I think more people welcome clean energy than you’re projecting.

Thank you Z. I hope that is true.

Btw, the future looks really kewl.
From a technical perspective at least.

AI’s notwithstanding….
