I was going to post under "Customer Service is Lacking", but after what happen to my last and FINAL ORDER the subject No Customer Service is a correct title.

Here is what happen with my FINAL ORDER!

I did not receive one of my lots that I won. While they credited my account, they breeched the fundamentals of the agreement between the customer and auctioneer and did not deliver the lot to me. In my book this spells "dishonestly" and it is fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Tried calling Customer Service 1-800-830-4590 and the number does not work or at least Monday - Wednesday, July 18 - 20 .

Then tried E-mailing, no response!

I will not be doing business with these crooks ever again! Cigar Bid lost my trust of doing business.

So let me see if I got this right... you bid on a lot and won... you were charged for that lot, yet you did not receive it... and then they credited your account for the lot you did not receive?

What's the fkn issue? You didn't get what you didn't pay for. Better that than they kept your money and waited until you disputed it.

True. But, I bid on a lot, won that lot and should get that lot, it is a contract. Been buying at Cigar Bid since 2011, so no stranger to the business.

Going to extreme on this to make a point. So you go to a mechanic to work on your brake system, and they only do 75% of what needs to be done and refund you 25% of the cost of the total repair. You have a crash because of brake system failure, but you should be good with that?

This is the problem with our current way of business, people are getting use to not getting what they contract for and are becoming OK with it. It is call accountability and we are letting too many business getting away with it. It starts small, but grows into a monster until it is a way of life.

OK, ok, stepping off my soap box. I hope you see the point.

Nah, I see Macs point though. You were out the smokes you expected, but weren't charged. That's actually pretty honest. Not open and communicative, nor stellar service in general, but honest. You acknowledge the signs that chit is not working well everywhere, so you've seen the signs. Caveat emptor.

I am confused. First you say they are being honest, then you end it with Caveat emptor, Latin for "let the buyer beware."

Well anyway, I see where this discussion is going. Good day to all, my bad for posting, what was I thinking?

Cigars and auto repair are not comparing apples to apples, buddy.

I do understand that a business should do everything within their power to honor a contract. I am a man of my word and it irritates me when stuff like this happens, too. However, in the CigarBid fine print...

https://www.cigarbid.com...and-conditions/2069134/

Might want to read the "contract". They warned you.

It’s an auction. There is an expectation given no reserve you get what you win. Seems like you people are ok with them backing out if the price ends up to low or whatever other reasons drive them. Does that go both ways. I can bid until I win decide I went to high and say never mind?

Seriously though, the site has issues. It's had issues for a while now as any minimal amount of research tells you, evidenced by the rising need for Celticbomber's tireless work. If you recognize that and feel it's worth taking a chance, fine. Just don't be surprised when an issue pops up.

He’s probably inundated with other customer’s issues. Remember, he’s just one guy (…with a Jewish wife - whatever that’s supposed to mean…) that’s trying to help hundreds, possibility thousands at once.

Patience is a virtue.

I can neither confirm nor deny that. Not talking

BUT, you could, mebbe, tempt (…aka “bribe”…) him with bags of Maebo One-Ton Chips. He won’t trade, take one dropped on the garage floor or buy them but will certainly accept them in lieu of ca$h payments.

You idiots realize a pollock is a salt water fish, right? If you're gonna use slurs, at least spell them right.

I understand screw-ups, but what I don't get is no response via the contact form nor anyone answering calls. Just tell me you f'ed up and I can't have the sticks and we'll move on. I don't mind forking over money, and I don't mind being told to pound sand...I just don't like both together.

I don't think Jade comes from an area where there are large numbers of Polish Americans.
If he did he would know that it is spelled pollock, pollack, or polack.
And he's calling us idjuts. Geez...what an idjut!

There's something fishy about this thread - not that there is anything wrong with that. But Rayray- there's something really wrong there.

See all the $15 an hour jobs out there?Bet CigarBid has several, openings. Maybe they pay $16.
The new recruit would resolve about 4 disputes/issues an hour. 3 out of four of the callers being pizzy, chewing out a new employee.

Three pizzy people x eight hours = twenty-four lousy exchanges x five days a week.

Would you sign up for getting your azz chewed 120 times a week for that pay rate?

If so, apply for the job online. Am guessing there are openings.

I won bids and my order has been in the processing state for over a month. The money comes out of my account and then it returns. I have tried calling everyday since July 5. No one ever picks up the phone. I have waited over an hour to speak to anyone. I have sent countless messages; same deal here, no response. I went so far as to call Cigars International (because they use the same warehouse) to see what’s going on with Cigarbid. I thought maybe they had a fire or something. I was told all is fine at CB. I’ve never encountered this with CB or any other company before. I assume something major must be happening. I can’t imagine why a company would do this (Covid outbreak? Tax evasion? Alien abduction?) Anyway, I just either want the order or for it to be cancelled and I can’t seem to succeed in either case. Cheers.

Same here. “In processing” - mo reply to email and no answer on phone. This is unusual. They have always had excellent customer service in the past.

Maybe Mom and Dad are out of town and the kids are throwing a party…

I have no doubt they will make it right.

Really?
Your panties are crunched up and bunched waaaay too tight………it’s not letting your chocha breathe!

So when you go into a nice restaurant, and while studying the menu, the waiter comes by to tell you they have run out of oysters………..what do you do?

Jump up and down, and point out to the waiter, that oysters are plainly listed on the menu, and that you should be able to get oysters……….blah blah blah…

You’ve been ordering here for a long time, and you are just NOW figuring out that cbid has issues?

What kind of demented monkeys are working at CBID now?

Get this. I got an e-mail from my bank that another charge was made to my credit card today for the same amount that they charged last Thursday for my CBID order. Actually there were 3 pending charges that show up on my account for that amount. I called the bank and they said the one from last Thursday was approved but it's still pending on their end because CBID hasn't responded. The second one was some kind of approval hold, which I never remember seeing before with any other purchase, not an actual charge, so nothing to worry about with that she said.
But CBID did try to charge my card again today. They are disputing that one for me. WTF!

That's right, they should know I just collect them and like to look at them in my humidors.
