What's up?

I am in Bocca Raton at daughter's apartment waiting from movers to take her discarded furniture after her move to Detroit- to my son's condo in Coral Gables for law school. Plan, hopefully, is to be home tonight... after another lunch at Versailles, of course!

This is the culmination of him living at home, getting his MBA and to work and study for LSAT. It's been 2.5 years since we were empty nesters. He has earned and fulfilled my wildest dreams for himself on his own. We are very proud!

Empty-nesters, probably this time for ever. Herfing promises to go skinny dipping with me tonight when we get home...

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Monday Morning! It's already 90° on the way to °95 today. A Costco run and possibly a haircut today.

I made blueberry jam this weekend. It's so damn good I wanted to put on my lunch turkey sandwich today, but the wifey gave me the "your not just stoopid, your dumb" look, so I refrained.

I think I will pick up some vanilla ice cream on the way home and use the jam as a topping.

Been having tranny issues with my truck since I bought it. But despite a half dozen trips to the dealership with only 1st and 4th gear their fix is turn it off and restart. Has worked every time. But it's only ever screwed up when I have a trailer on. They say no code no problem.

Today wife n boy wanted to go to the beach so we piled in and got on the highway set my cruise at 68 and on flat ground the trans shifts to 3rd and engines spinning 4krpm. Cancel cruise and it goes to 4th can't manually shift to any other gear. Pulled off at the next exit turned it off and restarted. FINALLY got a goddamn check engine light. But then the truck drove like a dream. No weird shifts no slamming gears no shudders just smooth shifts. But it did make some weird screeching noises in 5th.

Ran codes when I got home, 3 codes all transmission stuff. Called dealer n made appointment but earliest they had is 2 weeks out. At least I have a CEL now maybe they'll do something. Hopefully warrantied. Drive train warranty is to 100k and I've got 64k

Agreed! I like fig and Brie, but the wife prefers cheddar so I usually eat cheddar.

This blueberry jam had cardamom in it. I bet it would be amazing with cream cheese.

Bad day for GMC trucks and suvs. Ironically, all three were 2016 and all white in color.

Forgot this fun one from a couple weeks ago. Three Teslas came in over the last six months with flat tires. Turns out because they are so heavy, if they hit a pothole, it blows out the tire.

Herro...

We ain't finished this thing yet?

Walking Tank this morning. Crazy dude across the street says he needs to borrow my sail boat. Oh... strong southern accent, he wants to borrow my cell phone. I don't think so. He walks over, all crazy-eyed... I can tell a meth-addled brain when I see one. Starts babbling about being a crazy old senior chief and he has to use my phone to call the base commander so he can use the PX to buy a candy bar.

I tell him I can't help him and he actually grabs Tank's leash and says he won't let go unless I let him use my cell phone. Lost my ****. I said, "Mother f---er, you're looking at another crazy old senior chief. Let go of the leash or you're getting a beating." He lets go... tries to give me a fist bump... (no... gtf away from me) and walks back across the street.

I warn a lady walking her dog about him... she says, "Oh, that's Bill... he wasn't always that crazy".

The perils of downtown. lol

Macs you didn't punch him in the mouth?

I would have.

Meth heads don't miss their teeth. I've worked with a few, and a few caught hands. Especially if they touched me or mine. You're not in CA anymore, you're allowed to deal with them fuggers now.

Well I wasn't going to go all derogatory with it. I actually had the humans are 70% water thing in mind.

(Chuckle).

Last two weeks have been bad for GMC and the Eternal Equinox. Another EQ today.

The most senior tech has been doing this for 20 years.

“It all went to hell in 2009/2010 when the government stuck their noses in with fuel efficiency in mind. Anybody who has a vehicle previous to then should hold into it like grim death. All of them are more expensive than ever and racing to the bottom in quality. Good for our business.”

Disheartening.

Duly noted. Jail taught me to remain calm... not jump to aggression if I think I can talk them down. He doesn't get punched in the face and my fist doesn't get bad teeth bacteria on it.
