Celticbomber is preggo so he’s been nibbling more pickles than normal…..all CS calls/PMs will soon be handled. Just ignore the pickle juice on your package.

My brother sent me the new pregnant man emoji, I said, nah, that's just Celtic all done up...

Didn't know it was real, congrats my man... you made it all possible.

Now keep that inbox clean, and quit sending yourself support requests... that's just weird.

Well after sitting on hold for an hour I finally got to speak with Shana (I think was her name.)
She arranged to divide out the few on backorder into a separate order and said the rest would be shipped post haste.
So far I've received a 5-pack of Gurkha and today got an email saying three 5-packs of Mark Twain is now on the way. All the rest are still "Processing"
On an order of about 600 sticks.
At this rate I'm expecting the last installment around the time my grandkids are old enough to vote.
I don't have any grandkids.

If you’re buying Gurkhas and Mark Twains, customer service is the LEAST of your problems.

So many questions though. What were the other 520 supposed to be? What kind of storage are you rocking? How quickly do you go through 600? Is Aaron sneaking smokes when you're not looking?

No judgment. Well, maybe a little, but I went through a cheap chit phase. So, not much room to judge

Most of us……..most cigar smokers……….. go thru the “yard gar” phase early in the hobby.

At least I was smart enough to listen to a couple old timers who warned me long ago not to buy TOO MUCH of anything, especially bargain smokes, since down the road a ways………..you wont want to smoke them.

I don't understand the hate for Gurkhas. They aren't the greatest smoke in the world but they don't suck.
I always get a few cheapos to have on hand for the freeloaders wanting to bum a smoke. CIs mixed samplers are great for that as well.

I'm always a little amused at cigar snobs who think smoking boutique brands makes them special. Smoke what you want, when you want, any way you want.

I have accumulated six humidors in the house, two in the truck, and one in the bike over the 30+ years I've been smoking cigars. I had more years ago but I was young and dumb and it was the days before the interwebs and I didn't know how to properly take care of 'em so I had to throw out two or three. I've given away a few as well over the years.

I'm not a cigar snob and I still have a few Gurkhas that are quite good. I've smoked over 800 Gurkhas and there are even a very few made now that I would buy if the price was right. If you go back a couple of years you might spot one of my Gurkfests on the what cigar you smokin' topic, where I smoked over a hundred of them without any other cigars blended in. I may be the house expert on yard gars and I've even smoked some Twains, but nevermore.

Wrong………….they do suck.
If you understood how Hansotia operates, you would eventually come to the same conclusion.
Same cigar, different bands…………does that chit all the time.
No consistency…………..……at all…………..…ever.
And, he’s an arrogant prick.
You’ll find a decent yard gar Gurkha, maybe in a sampler, or a fiver, or ? Then you buy more, maybe even plunk down for a box…………..and they’re dog rockets.

Tony knows more about Gurkhas, probably than anyone in the WORLD.
If he has written them off………well…………enough said.

And, for the money? There are many better options for knock around smokes than Gurkhas.

Tony yes I’ve smoked at least 3-4 Twains….and I’ve smoked probably 75+ Gurkhas but mostly the old TPB1’s, Double Maduros and Triple Ligeros.

Smoke less and smoke better. You can always buy more cigars, nobody can buy more time.

Gurkhas are the only cigar I've bought that would just unravel and explode in my hand. Happened multiple times. I wouldn't smoke a free one.

Same thing here………maybe 10 years ago or so………a Titan literally exploded while I was taking a draw……..scared the chit out of me……………almost as loud as a lady finger fire cracker, I chit you not.
Wrapper had a two inch rip in it………….crazy……….and yes, that was my last Gurk!

Interesting info. I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm burning a Gurkha. So far I haven't had any problems with 'em.

Aaron never really got into cigar smoking. When he was in his 20's he tried a few now and then with me and friends but it wasn't ever his thing.

The rest of the order is a mixed bag. Oliva, La Gloria, Drew Estate, Alec Bradley, Man 'O War, Torano, Macanudo, CAO...
And a few cheapos for the freeloaders. Bahia, Mark Twain, Arganese...

I've kinda become the "guy with the smokes" in most of my circle of friends and quite often give out a cigar or three. Sometimes people will ask but usually I offer to share with anyone in the area. Chatting for a minute to determine if this person is really a cigar smoker or just looking to get "anything if it's free" will determine what I part with. I probably give away one for every two or three I smoke. I'm happy to share with fellow smokers or introduce someone new interested in trying it. And I don't mind the few who are interested only because it's "free."

Checking my orders here I bought 180 in March and 350 in April. I don't recall how many I had left when I placed those orders but I was pretty low. I'm guessing I have maybe 100-150 spread around the humidors now. A little math works out to 2 cigars a day more or less.

My smoking is cut back drastically when the cold weather hits up here in WI. Summer evenings I'll sit outside and have two or three. In the winter sometimes it'll be weeks between smokes.

A) Celticbomber is a dirty liar.

B) No actual company representative would be allowed to have a handle of Sunoverbeach

C) No one could match up to the fine work you've been doing for Cbid customers, so I won't even bother to try

Bottom line is that Cigar Bid/Cigar International customer service has gone completely off the rails. I don't want to hear that B.S. about higher than normal volume. If your volume is higher, add more F'n staff. I won't go into all the problems I had with my last order, but will suffice it to say it took A MONTH for someone to contact me and no one ever answered their customer service number. I wasted several hours trying.

Done with both of these companies. I spend way too much money to waste it with these clowns!

Well it's nice to get some information about what's going on and what the hold up is. It's still a little frustrating waiting for weeks for the orders to ship out.
I got an email yesterday they're doing another partial shipment of my order.
Five. Five cigars out of 597. Yup, I counted 'em yesterday.
I got a five pack a few days ago, 15 more are supposed to arrive tomorrow, and now five more in a few days.
The order closed on July 19th.

I'm wondering who's been waiting the longest. Do you think they're still working on any orders from June?

Well Fred, (you don't mind me calling you Fred, do you?), in case you missed it, quite litterally EVERY business is hiring right now, but people are not taking the jobs. So, while I bet CI/CBid has a job posted for CS rep, I am also betting it is sitting unfilled because, frankly, no one wants to fill it. And in all honesty, if I knew you were going to call and bitch at me about your cigars, I wouldn't want to fill it either. Would you?

If you really want that position filled, call your congressional representatives and tell them to stop extending payment differements on student loans. Let's get all those anthropology and sociology graduates back to their customer service jobs just to make their loan payments.

I just received my order and had a few damaged cigars. So got on the phone and after over an hour of being on hold. I reached Shawna. She was kind and willing to help with my conundrum. She is now sending me replacement cigars. They were out of two of the cigars in the size that we’re damaged. So she is sending me the next size up. She was professional and willing to help. It sucked having to be on hold for an hour and 5mins to get a response. Now we wait to see what happens next.
