We do have to get together again as we are now. Four Roses Small Batch. First timer on this one. 4R doesn’t make anything standard or substandard, do they?

they are the most innovative in my opinion, though the inexpensive yellowish label is pedestrian.

All of their offerings are an excellent pour for the price point IMHO. The only exception would be the yellow label which has already been noted by Frank.

Agree on the Yellow. Think nothing of adding ginger beer or ginger ale in it.

Small Batch and Single Barrel are both great. Especially for the price. I can usually get the Single Barrel in Casper for $35. I plan on stocking up on the way home in a couple weeks.

For the Four Roses fans.

Four Roses Announces 2022 Limited Edition Small Batch, Featuring 20-Year Barrels in the Mix

It’s not every day Four Roses announces its long-awaited Small Batch Limited Edition release. Thankfully, that rare day came Monday.

Composed of some of the brand’s most enviable recipes, the 2022 Small Batch Limited Release features a blend of 14-year, 15-year and 20-year bourbon.

Releasing at 54.5% ABV, it’s a pour that’s sure to appeal to both proof hounds and lovers of well-layered whiskey. This year’s release is bottled without filtering, at cask strength.

Fans of Four Roses are no stranger to the increased demand of these bottling, but this year’s release is exceptional and well worth the hunt. Notably, the complexity and integration of oak are the star of this show, with notes of cream, candied ginger, orange zest and bold toffee tying things together.

Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition release is a year long project for the Four Roses distillery master distiller, Brent Elliot. The year-long project yielded 14,100 bottles, and they will sell for a suggested retail price of $179.99. The recipes included in this year’s release are:

14yr OESV
14ry OESF
15yr OESK
20yr OBSV

2022’s release of Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition is the 15th for the brand. A small portion of bottles will be held back and released through the Four Roses Gift Shop via lottery. If you’re interested in signing up for a shot to win a bottle, you can do so at FourRosesBourbon.com from August 22-26.

This year’s release continues the trend of increasing prices over previous releases, but there’s no doubt that the demand will not slow down despite the elevated price tag. Many brands are choosing to raise prices, some in hopes of making better returns on their rarest whiskey stocks, others in hopes of taking some momentum from the secondary market.

Costco run... FL Costco's have the booze separate from everything else. Kinda cool.

Grabbed 4 roses single barrel, Elijah Craig small batch and Kirkland BIB.

Never had the Kirkland BIB so for $24.99 a bottle I grabbed one. It's damn tasty. (picture Sam L Jackson in Pulp Fiction)

Barrell Bourbob New Year Cask Strength. Should be Casket Strength.

115 proof?

Will be one and done whether I like it or not.

Turned out to be two doubles, then done.
