Maybe his brain just processes so slowly that it refuses to reprocess similar information and just pulls it out of the cache and regurgitates it.

Then only reads stuff that validates what's in the cache.

Requires less energy expenditure.

When it builds up excess energy, he comes in and regurgitates all over the boards.
